Level of competition is the thing we don’t usually consider when looking at tape.
the most obvious non committed UF guy ive ever seen lol
What does he like about SC? I don’t get it.
Maybe Playing time?
I hope that it was just to create a little more drama, and based on the reason for his waiting to commit I am hoping it was just make the Gator commitment more special.
My understanding is that he is committing on his mother's birthday.
NCAA reportedly set to enact expanded college football recruiting class size for 2022 cycle
That NIL caysh Dr. Pepper coughed up was certainly money well spent.
As far as pettaway is concerned, I think it's been documented that while the HS competition he's faced is mediocre (or less than), it's what he's done in a camp setting that has majorly influenced his ranking. I'm sure the video game numbers he's putting up can't hurt either, regardless of the talent he's facing lol.
But I get your point, it's hard to truly gauge ranking when there's so much fluctuation in the level of competition from one kid to the next
Probably too harsh, but boy I could see this kid in the portal in a year or 2...
and those are MISSES too. Like bad messed up shoulder Tyler Murphy misses. Another thing you may not notice but Clemson WR’s sure don’t get separation or are fast. We have big bodied WR’s but luckily shifty guys like Cope, Wells, Davis, Wright mixed in.
Maybe we’ve been too harsh on EJ.
There you go, star chasers. We've always speculated that dotcom bumped FSU’s prospect ratings.
It is enough to know that commercial rankings ought to be taken with a gigantic grain of salt. It doesn't take a particularly scientific measurements system to conclude that Alabama, for example, in the middle of the greatest run of championship success and considerable NFL success is recruiting exceptionally well. On the other hand, it is silly to think that you can distinguish based upon those ratings alone whether the 14th or 4th rated classes is actually better. How would it affect Florida's class rankings if we updated Kyle Trask's talent from the time he was recruited as a 2 or 3 star and his Heisman worthy senior performance.
