I think it’s VT honestly, but hope I’m wrong!
Hopefully it’s not us. I want Collier at the last safety spot.
The real question is, can he make it to 6K?
We wouldn’t stop recruiting collier even if he committed
Taking McMillon doesn't mean we are done at DB. McMillon is quality.
McMillon looks more like a future LB ...to the staff. Looking for 7 DBs. Not over
I feel the opposite
To be fair his tape is super underwhelming, he’s basically just a center fielder. He must perform better to scouts. He’s the #1 safety on Rivals.
I do however also believe Wilcoxson is underrated by 247 standards
That's exactly what it is. I'm not too thrilled with what he put on tape but then again, he was a junior in high school and has a senior year to turn it "around" if i must see.
most likely a top 4 or 5.
This debate is always a moving target on one end boss, but I’m with you the proofs in the pudding. Great recruiters put work in to get the kids , simple as that. Anyone that chalks it up to them giving extra benefits being the main or only reason that great recruiters pull top shelf kids doesn’t seem accurate. Bro all you’ve gotta do is watch a coach’s press conference to see whether he’s a top shelf recruiter. 9 times outta 10 if the dude can gab he can pull kids.
Mullen is super impressive in press conferences, while Zook sounded...well I'll leave it there. Zook could pull some incredible recruits. Could he do it today? I am really not sure he could. Things have changed in recruiting. But I would like to see him recruiting here now. Just on straight up closing the deal, Meyer and Zook were exceptional. Mullen isn't anywhere close, and I don't hold that against him. Some have it and some don't.
Don't care what anyone says....your recruiting staff and its prowess starts with the head coach. If he's not holding his assistants accountable, not saying Mullen is or isn't, then why as an assistant would i prioritize recruiting? We don't need a private investigator following Mullen around to know he isn't relentless on the trail like Saban, Smart, Swinney, etc.
I mean we've brought Brewster in and it has done what so far? Didn't help with Evans nor did it help with Jacory Brooks. He just didn't come to UF and become a has been on the trail. It starts at the top but again, we'll see how things shake on NSD 2021
We just received our 3rd CB for him on 247. I believe he will be in the class come Saturday
I’m up for any scenario that has McMillion in this class. The kid lays the wood. I’m always down for a guy that is all state in multiple sports especially if one is wrestling.
Wrestling (and all grappling sports) are the ultimate test of FUNCTIONAL and PRACTICAL strength, reflexes, flexibility and mental toughness.. If a guy is a good wrestler, sign him up.
That and the personal discipline it takes to wrestle at a high level is awesome. After looking at his progress over high school it wouldn’t be a surprise if he places top 3 or wins state this year. I think this kid is really impressive. I’m not saying he will be all world but he would be a plus on the roster for sure.
My son wrestles. The workouts and matches are second to none with respect to athleticism. Football players with a wrestling background have a significant advantage and acclimate well to the strength training.
When he wrestles, does he wear a mask?
Does he use the same tag team partner?
Does he have a special move, like an Atomic Elbow or Kangaroo Kick?
