with the national high school player of the year (and a qb) committed and on campus, i am disappointed and perplexed that we didn’t get at least one 5 star WR in the recruiting class and have yet to secure a bonafide star transfer WR. The top signee for the class…the 36th rated WR. And I like him (Hawkins) but I personally would’ve thought we could’ve gotten ELITE wr or two with such a qb on campus. whatever is holding us back from getting elite WRs is a problem and needs to be figured out.
Probably can’t sell a lateral archaic offense to game breaker wide receivers so they can take turns catching 3 yard wide receiver screens. Our win loss record and lack of improvement also don’t sit well with star players. Lastly we have no offensive coordinator and the guy calling the plays likes to snap the ball with one second left and play ball control instead of being creative. Potential coaching turnover in a bad year also doesn’t help. Other than that all the 5 stars should be beating down our door…
I figured we weren’t getting him. As I said earlier, not that Rogers would have been an Instant star or anything but the question becomes who, as in who are we going to get to come into the receiver room? No way we can start the year without one or two more guys.
Sadly, it's starting to look more and more like this is correct. Where are the elite talents at wideout? We have great RBs, an elite QB now enrolled for the future, yet the top wideouts are no where to be found. We know they see what we see in our passing game and that's a problem. And obviously we aren't wowing them with our offensive passing philsophy during visits to get them to commit either.
Write the freaking check for God sake. Hell it’s not my money so I can only hope some fool with a big bank account pays his ass
For Sure, seems like we hit a wall. Thought we were going to get big-time safety. Thought we were going to get a big-time wide receiver Thought maybe at least one other DB and zero lately
