Agree, love the comparison between the touchdown maker and Hendo. Both long dudes that can catch the ball but gotta be utilized the right way. Don’t like throwing to Hendo behind the line.
if he is a willing running as the season went on, ala Leak as 06 went on and he bought in, im cool with that
I believe it’s 4 men ( 3 coaches and 1 player) and 1 recruiting female director had fun while at the SECCG
I may me mistaken, but I don't expect to see anything resembling the Mullen/Meyer spread option with any of the QBs currently projected on the Spring roster. Maybe if all else fails we could see something more akin to that old school RPO when Lagway comes on board, but even that seems somewhat unlikely. But Wanne was right in that it shouldn't require a Kyle Trask level passer to show a marked improvement in the short and intermediate passing game. It's not really that big of an ask when you consider our recent struggles in that area.
for the record, my post wasn’t saying be a copy cat of what Mullen did, im just trying to create the WR/TE/RB hierarchy in comparison to what we had from 06-09
Short and intermediate pass game was the worst I’ve seen since I don’t know when. It’s the basis of an offense. I haven’t watched a kid play but he has to be better than what we saw last year. He won’t have the legs he might not make the great plays over the top but we might have a more even keel offense. Maybe even cut down on the interceptions by not asking him to do so much, just take what’s given to you. As to which play calls will be made, I guess a good coach would look at who his quarterback is and what strengths and weaknesses he has and bend the offense a little bit in that direction. Thank God that Mullen didn’t try to make Trask be Tim Tebow.
I had heard Ricky had been taken care of and was staying. I’m not overly worried. What he received is pretty standard.
I totally understand, I was actually responding to a comment by another poster who was responding to a comment made by Wanne regarding Tebow's short passing game skills.
He's a 5* star Gator right now, so the rankings are simply for bragging rights. He's a beast that we landed.
Bigger, faster and more physical than 5 star Cormani. Outplayed other CBs in practice this week as well. Cormani has to put on weight. Will Cormani transfer in a year like McCall? Funny with all the unrest on TAM roster this year that they would sign McCall after they way he acted up on the field/sidelines this year for FSU. Character matters
