Was reminiscing with a friend over New Years. We lived in a trailer somewhere west of 34th for a semester. Used the gas stove for heat. Not the brightest move, but nothing blew up. Times change, have a family member that lived at the Standard Apts for a year
Don’t forget, we are looking at 50-60 walk-ons as well. Maybe we can pay their way without them being on scholarship.
Wow...his eyes light up when he's talking about UF. Coach Napier is the real deal! We'll be back on top very soon!
FWIW Donovan Keiser of On3 said on Stadium & Gale that he thinks it's 60/40 A&M. I thought that was pretty optimistic but he certainly knows more than I do. My gut feeling is more like 75/25 A&M.
I’m not buying it until I he ink is dry on the LOI and FAXED. We’ve been trolled by players Jimbo was recruiting in the past, so I’m not going to give this a sign of anything.
Yeah, I mean I would love this, like ‘lose my shit’ love this, and maybe the new sheriff in town is about to show us how this shit gets done, buuuuut, this smells awfully familiar to Jimbo’s FSU days. if the money is even, I like our chances. But if a&m has another $1M in the 22 player budget for the in state #1 linebacker in the country above what we are offering, I don’t think it matters that we have player parking or shrimp gumbo.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Some of these kind of head scratcher 3-star players that have been discussed in the past couple of days might be Napier and his staff trying to recruit what I think will be the next generation of "walk-ons". Players that aren't given official scholarships but are offered paid for tuition to walk on. I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago in a discussion about the NIL. I think it will help the elite P4/P5 schools basically have "unlimited scholarships". Some of these kids who might have been forced to go to AAC or CUSA schools because the P5 school of their choice didn't have space can walk on at Bama, UF, Ohio State or Clemson. Helps the schools by having more depth (especially with the portal) and being able to let kids who were on the bubble prove themselves. And it helps the kids by giving them the chance to prove they're elite players and if it doesn't work out, having a year in a P5 program probably raises their status later in the portal. Kind of seems like a win-win. But I see this making the divide between the elite programs and the rest of college football even wider. AAC and CUSA schools are going to have a smaller pool of talent.
Drama Gators need to shut their pie hole. I swear some people aren’t happy unless they’re trying to create drama.
100FG is in Hammond, LA. Hammond is right down the road from Ponchatoula. 101FG is frozen on the tracker perhaps it's still in Pine Mountain, GA.
