Sports fans have shown time and time again that they will support sports no matter how screwed they get. They bitch about spoiled, overpaid and entitled athletes who are only in it for the money and yet remain loyal to those same players who walked out or owners who locked them out while forking out hard earned money for tickets, jerseys, 15 dollar beers and $90 parking passes among other things. No matter how much some of us don't like this fans will support the system the way they support the NFL, NBA,NHL and MLB. I suspect the older generation may phase out enough and the newer fans will be raised on this current model and see nothing wrong with it. I'm not hoping for anyone to fail but I have no problem walking away and I'm definitely not supporting it with my dollar.
Clearly is! If the NCAA worked at all (and fast) this wouldn't happen. Such a critical situation for college sports to be in with no control/rules.
Please correct me if I'm wrong about the NIL, but weren't states threatening to get involved if somehow student athletes were not paid in some way?
I can now picture Kiffin doubling offers for every recruit heavily favored elsewhere just to get them to overspend, and if the recruit calls his bluff him pretending it was 5 minutes too late and already gave someone else the deal lol. What a mess
So we are gonna get blown out in 6 games next year? I’d love to take this bet even if it’s just losses and not blow outs.
When players who haven't played a down of college football are getting deals that pay them more than their position coach.... Yeah college football is dying as far as being something special. Now we will just have a bunch of kids yelling at their coaches like in the NFL.
#37 FSU blows out UF...all righty then. We beat them down a coaching staff and spiraling out of control and giving them a bunch of turnovers...Im betting 5/1 with anyone here as much as you can raise we dont get blown out by FSU. Obviously we know this guy is an FSU clown by this.
We have 15 starters coming back if you count AR15... Not many teams on our schedule are even close to that. I can't wait to see how surprised the nation will be to see the Gators... playing like the Gators normally play. The way we played minus the two freaking losing seasons we had in the last 5 or 6 years. I expect 9 wins minimum this coming season... 8 wins is rock bottom if we have key injuries.
exactly. With a HC that was checked out we were close as hell from being a 2 loss team (UGA and Missouri). The team dont lack talent, they lack depth (and proven depth)
