Agreed. Everything starts with the line of scrimmage. You beef that up and qbs and rbs will want to play behind it. And same goes for defense. A solid d line makes the lbs and cbs jobs easier. Texas is the only team I’ve seen that has a system in place specifically for the line. I may be wrong. But that’s the way to go
I suspect TN fans were asked to contribute for a Hooker and thinking they were to have a different end game
Iirc I heard cooper say he was a fan of spurriers fla teams in the doc fwiw. Gotta shoot ur shot. Don’t really want a coach who just accepts that “well we can’t get that kid”. We just had that and saw how it went. It’s a pervasive attitude
Unless they are confirmed from a camp I don't take those heights and weights for anything. I prefer to see the tweet of them beside CBN.
Not to mention it means you need to get your head coach out of Dodge as quick as possible if it takes $1 million to keep your starting QB for a year. It's not like someone else is throwing out a million for him.
In a pass happy offense he was slightly ahead in yardage of Stetson Bennett, and seriously despite a natty, who at Georgia thinks they are winning because of Bennett?
I just read an article about this. It has to do with a state law and it affects every major college football program in Florida. Some legislators are trying to get a new, less strict law drawn up. Let your representatives know how you feel about this.
My comment about him and Bennett was really just an example as a caveat of don't read too much into stats. I don't mean to say he is not a good QB. He would have helped us last year. The Vols need to think about building a complete team with NIL than throwing a lot of money at one guy when they are likely to get yardage from a backup in coach Hype's offense. Who's going to have a lot of yards in the SEC next year? Whoever starts for Bama and Ole Miss.
