ESPN's 10-part documentary, "The Last Dance," which chronicles Michael Jordan and the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls, premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

This is going to be GREAT!

I was a huge Bulls fan during this era and still feel it was the best years of the NBA in terms of excitement.

Those playoff games with the Knicks and Pistons were epic!

I went up I-95 once to visit my oldest brother in Virginia and it was during one of the playoffs and I stayed overnight at South of the Border with the main focus of watching that playoff game that night on TV in my motel room.

Tony Kukoc and Steve Kerr with those three point bombs from downtown, the worm, Pippen, and of course MJ himself.

    Man those were the days!!!

personal anecdote.... my buddy was Rodman’s manager. They stopped in on my bachelor party, and I hung out with him a couple times. Suffice to say- strange guy.

    2006-2008

    bachelor party was 2008.

very funny story.... the first time my buddy called me to go out with he and Rodman, I tell me wife... or girlfriend, at the time....

Me: “crystal, I’m gonna go down to hard rock with Aston and Dennis Rodman”

crystal: “this doesn’t sound good. They’ll be drugs, and girls....
I mean, I know you don’t do drugs, but...”

lmao!! For the record, there were no drugs! But he did attract all sorts of attention.

everyone in the place bought him drinks and shots, most of which he handed to us.

    Very cool!

Man I'm really enjoying the show so far. MJ was such a great role model. Really good person.

See this is why I have no interest anymore in the NBA. These years they are showing were the best and afterwards it was never the same - nor will it ever be the same.

The Pippen story - just wow.....what a player and took care of his family and made a bad decision with that contract.

Was there anything less politically correct than the old approach signs for South of the Border?

As of last year. It's possible they came down, but it would have been a very recent occurrence.

    MJ was intense.

I lived in Chicago during the 2nd three-peat, and it was very exciting. If you saw a blacked out Porche on the highway, you suspected that it could have been MJ

From the episode, the local news made sure that viewers knew that he didn't see eye-to-eye with the front office.

I know I recorded a few of those games on VHS.

They are probably available somewhere else anyway but I'd like to find mine at some point.

    Good show!

I've been an avid fan of the NBA since the great Wilt/West/Goodrich Laker team that won 33 games in a row. And, I think the NBA game today (when they're allowed to play) is as good as it's ever been.

I will agree that Bird and Magic did help revitalize the NBA at one point. And, I think White Chocolate helped infuse some "showtime" when he came into the league, and the Knicks and Heat were battling it out to final scores in the 70's.

    Great interview!

My generation understands all of what Kerr is saying here. You'd have to live it to understand it. Good times.....
