the left over looked Biden's obvious dementia and now we are supposed to somehow take the left's word on Trump- that is laughable

as far as his family's cripto deal- it is a business decision

again, you ignored Hunter's selling access to the WH to foreign Countries so why should your screaming about this be anything of worthy

"It's a business decision." "It's locker room talk." Convenient excuses to brush aside illegal behavior. If you were upset about Hunter claiming to be able to sell white house access for hundreds of thousands of dollars, you should probably also be upset about Trump, as president, directly profiting BILLIONS from foreigners and accepting a $400 MILLION plane. You think you're pointing out hypocrisy but you're really just admitting to it.

And you don't have to take the left's word for it on Trump's mental state - there are numerous examples of him rambling incoherently, walking away without signing EOs before his staff takes him back to sign, obsessing over the 2020 election, REPEATEDLY stating easily disproven lies, etc. What do you make of him still saying that other countries pay tariffs? Is he just blatantly lying, too dumb to understand, or diminished mentally to the point where he's beyond being able to comprehend?

The US “contributed” to the India/Pakistan ceasefire. Their actual involvement just can’t be publicly acknowledged

And Biden got 81+ million votes in the 2020 election. Does that shield him from any criticism for his entire term? Or maybe people vote for a complex variety of reasons and we still need to evaluate new information as it becomes available.

When an aide dressed as an Easter Bunny leads Trump away from reporters asking questions, I'll start taking this more seriously. The biggest difference so far is that Trump loves being in front of the press, where the Biden Admin tightly controlled the press' access to Biden. The actuarial tables suggest Trump could have a similar decline. So if his aides start limiting the press' access to him, that will be a tip off.

Trump and Biden both have shown cognitive decline. Both have people making decisions for them. Both have had moments where they had to be told what they were signing. To say otherwise makes one look as loopy as they are.

You can still like your team while pointing out the QB sucks. I’ve seen y’all do on the sports board for years.

It seems pretty convenient to claim Trump has cognitive issues now when many people couldn’t be bothered to seriously discuss Biden’s cognitive decline. That being said, if Trump does have significant cognitive decline it is manifesting itself much differently than Biden who appeared “old” in every meaningful way. I haven’t seen much to demonstrate Trump is any more addled than he has typically presented since 2015. He’s always made stupid, nonsensical remarks that oftentimes are nothing more than word salad.

What 80 year doesn't have cognitive decline. Problem is an 75-80 year old person should not be president of the United States.

I don't know about dementia, but in his recent speeches, he appears to me to be overmedicated on something. His thoughts wander, at times he seems to be barely coherent. He just seems vague and confused.

Uh, not anymore. About 63% of the country now disagrees with Trump and his policies. Trump is now officially an incompetent loser. Cling to your failing president all you want, but you are part of the rapidly diminishing 37% that has not seen the light yet, and figured out that Trump is incompetent.

He’s been like that since entering the national political stage in 2015 though. Is he worse now? I think so, but you’re arguing degrees decline and comparing him to Biden it doesn’t seem nearly so dramatic/noticeable.

Don't have to take anybodies word. Listen to him ramble. He totally forgot they put foreign student visas on hold. Had no idea what they were talking about until the 4 or 5 time they reminded him. Price of eggs down 90%. $1.99 gasoline. Just habitual liar, clueless, demented, all of the above

    Right here
I agree with this. Trump has often sounded like a babbling buffoon since the start of his first campaign. I don’t think it’s ever been a good thing to have a president sound like this, but I’m not sure he’s much worse than he was back then.

I think the real key, which few seem to want to address, is that it really shouldn’t much matter what the president is up to. He himself shouldn’t have enough power to make a meaningful dent in our governance, but most of us seem content to let congress just step aside and let the president do whatever he wants.

Ben Franklin saw all this clearly: “The first man put at the helm would be a good one. Nobody knows what sort may come afterwards. The executive will always be increasing here, as elsewhere, until it ends in a monarchy.”

he can't seem to folow security briefings. now they are thinking about having "fox like" news presentation put together to see if they can get him to understand it..because he can't read and digest information.....

nope, now mental incapacities here. the man can't even read a memo and understand what it says

Trump's intel chief scrambling for ways to get him to pay attention: NBC

Reporting that PDB is currently a written digital document with pictures, there is a feeling Trump is not invested with one insider admitting, "The problem with Trump is that he doesn’t read. He’s on broadcast all the time.”

With that in mind, NBC News is reporting there have been suggestions about converting his briefing into one "made to look and feel like a Fox News broadcast," according to multiple sources.

"Under that concept as it has been discussed, the national intelligence director’s office could hire a Fox News producer to produce it and one of the network’s personalities to present it; Trump, an avid Fox News viewer, could then watch the broadcast PDB whenever he wanted," the report states before adding, "A new PDB could include not only graphics and pictures but also maps with animated representations of exploding bombs, similar to a video game, another one of the people with knowledge of the discussions said."

One of the reasons I think the Tapper/Thompson book is not getting more pushback from Democrats is that 1. Biden is no longer a political player and Democrats have Clinton and Obama to be their elder statesmen. 2. It now gives them and the press a mandate to question Trump’s mental cognition for the next four years.
