Twitter Philanthropist Bill Pulte Makes Good on Promise to President Trump and Gives $30,000 to Recently Homeless Nashville Veteran

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Twitter philanthropist and businessman Bill Pulte is making good on his promise to President Trump this morning with a $30,000 gift to a veteran in need. A Nashville, TN female Veteran who was recently homeless received a $20,000 car and $10,000 gift from the philanthropist this morning.

Bill Pulte has leveraged Twitter for good by starting #TwitterPhilanthropy just three weeks ago. @Pulte has challenged celebrities and politicians to retweet him to help support Veterans and others in need.

Last week after a tweet challenging President Trump: "If @realDonaldTrump retweets this, I will give $30,000 to a Veteran on Twitter." President Trump retweeted @pulte with the following response: "Thank you Bill."

The nonprofit Veteran help organization Code of Vets suggested Lena Ramon, a two-tour Veteran who suffered a traumatic brain injury on her second tour in Iraq. She is 100% disabled and suffers from PTSD. She and her kids were homeless and living out of a car from September of 2018 through January of 2019.

We all know when things need to be said and discussed it takes more than a 5 minute clip of sound bytes. This video is 1hr 25min 27sec - I'm sure there will be those that will ignore the message as well as those that watch 5 min and shut it out. Yet there are those that are willing to listen and be heard.

I wouldn't make that claim as we both know President Trump pulls no punches and gets down and dirty with the best of them. Between you and President Trump you know where my money is at. He would eat your lunch.

I think he probably meant that Trump getting down and dirty - or calling people names and making fun of their looks that he mistakes as a form of debate would get him bounced by the mods.

Well, thanks for your vote of confidence. You misunderstood my suggestion. I have no doubt he can get down and dirty with the worst of them. The thing I doubt is his ability to abide by the board rules. He would be perma-banned in a matter of moments.

That because @gatordavisl is bound by the TOS of this board as well as the a desire to follow normal rules of decorum. Trump has no such constraints. Not only does he not behave in a manner that is generally considered acceptable for other high profile politicians he is completely unrestrained insofar as any civility is concerned. I think your use of the term "down and dirty" is appropriate in referring to Trump. It reminds me of the the quote regarding wrestling with a pig.

I disagree. Not all Republicans insist on personal insults and name calling.

See the X factor is that the democrats have the media to do their dirty work and traditionally republicans have always sat there and took it.

btw, what was it that congresswoman Talib said about Trump and what she was going to do on election night when she won? Impeach the ……

For all his faults he tells it like it is and the message resounds with the populace. While people choose to twist his words he keeps marching forward.

The man lies about everything, matters big and small. That is most certainly not telling it like it is.

Imagine thinking somebody with 11K false statements "tells it like it is." Really, what you mean is "tells it like I wish it was."

Almost no other Republicans behave in the same juvenile manner as Donald Trump. I couldn't imagine Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, or even Ted Cruz behaving like Trump and I could easily name many more Republican politicians.

I think we have established all politicians lie about one thing or another. Especially about what they intend to do once elected. President Trump so far has held to his word with the exception of our spending habits. I'll give him 4 more years to see where we go with that.
