And, if you voted for Trump, you’ve created the rise of AOC. It works both ways, but it sure would be nice if people started looking and judging, objectively, at what is actually happening rather than looking for any excuse to support their vote and notch a “win”.

And I don’t mean this as a bash in Trump, I mean this as a general statement for all politicians of all parties. We are so caught up trying to prove to each other we are “right” that we have completely lost focus on the objective, which is to objectively judge (and then vote accordingly) on the product of each of our elected representatives.

 

I can’t say that I was wrong.
There was no good choice for me and I wanted Nikki Haley. I was never voting for a liberal.

Yes, it's on all of us. It's bigger than just supporting Harris as an alternative. It's on all of us to provide better options in whatever way we can. By the time we get to the part you are talking about, it's already too late.

In 2016, I did several of those things. In 2024? I did none of those things, except post signs.

Nor do I foresee doing many or most of those things in the near future. I'm not going to donate my time, money or effort to try and help people who cannot even be bothered to read even a portion of the actual news ....... or demonstrate enough integrity that they refuse to vote for a traitorous felon ... or vote against their own interests. I'm not the "Criminal Traitor Tolerator Whisperer."

But as a nation? The majority of us voted for what we are getting. And so, IMO, we deserve it - it's our collective choice. We've shown who we are and what we'll tolerate. Did we really ever have integrity in the first place?

Oh, hey - but I did this!^ I voiced my disapproval. Regularly. I made it known what I felt people should feel shame to tolerate. How many people did that? (And I obviously did it in a more socially tolerant way than we get here where people invite the opinions of others.)

How many "good" or spiritual people here sat by (still do) and said "Oh, well - they're just voting for a traitor who tried to overturn an election ..... and he happens to also sexually assault women. But that's OK, that's their choice!!"

IMO, tolerating that, without even a single word, is the biggest travesty.

As for whether I posted on Swamp Gas, is there no one that remembers my mathematical posts during the Leak/Tebow years for the offensive and defensive units and individual players? Yards per rush, yards per pass, points per play, etc that I pulled from NCAA.org? And yes my analysis was picked up by the Gator Athletic Dept and sent to sportswriters all over America and credited with getting the Gators into the NC game against Ohio State by the Orlando Sentinel ~August 2007. Lou Holtz went over my analysis point by point when making the case for the Gators.

I never implied it was indecent. It's like arguing in church, at a funeral, or at another solemn event.
