What a slap in the face, delivered by Trump, to the ICE agents, the LAPD, and the California National Guard. Obviously, he thinks they failed to do their jobs, so he had to send in the Marines. I wonder if they're grateful for the vote of "no confidence?"

There are now demonstrations in multiple cities with more planned. Will trump send the National Guard/ Marines into NYC, Chicago, Boston, Austin, etc etc, or is this just a personal pi$$ing contest versus Newsom.

Yep. Lost opportunity. The moment that curfew went into effect they needed to rope a few people up to show they meant business. They didn’t.

Maybe just in case? For example, Jan 6th started peaceful and ended up with thugs storming our US Capital and in the process beating LEO men and women for hours and wanting to kill our national leaders.

Well, maybe just in case? In 1982 it took 3 days and 60 deaths before the NG was called in by President Bush. Trump called them in earlier, just in case and there haven't been any deaths that I have seen reported.

Agreed on the competing interests and motivations, but I would hardly count Soros Sr./Soros Jr. as pro-western - more like stateless unchecked global capitalists. Soros Sr. has done more to destabilize the west over the last 30 years than most. Another point to be taken from the tweet is that there is nothing organic or grass roots about these riots.

Trumps moves are very popular with the people who live in LA and elsewhere. Watch his approval numbers rise

Democrats are denying that what people see on video is real. People Democrats pipelined into the US are engaging in violence and waving the flags of foreign countries with the support of foreign leaders

Democrat politicians and news media claiming Trump is a dictator/authoritarian? He's doing what people want. The working class is shifting even more from blue to red. Example: black men in California used to do well in the construction industry. Who took their jobs? In many cases the people who Trump is deporting.

What's happening may help Vance in 2028.

LOL. As someone who has family in Los Angeles, I can assure you it’s not popular at all and the majority of the city is pissed. Stop making shit up.

A vastly liberal melting pot and one of the most progressive cities in the U.S. is not going to be supportive of these actions, sorry to tell you. You all are the “party of common sense”, use some.

It's difficult with today's polarized media to tell what's true, but do you know how we can tell that it isn't as bad as some people would like us to believe?

Because the people trying the hardest to convince us that things are really bad are resulting to posting fake photos and videos or re-using the same few photos. Every media outlet is there. Everyone is an amateur reporter these days with access to post directly on X. If these were out of control riots, we'd be seeing that live 24/7 and that's just not happening.

Funny that since it's been said by most of the left on here that it's all peaceful protests, why would they put a curfew in place? Can't fix stupid...

Probably because the non-peaceful agitators come out at night. Allow peaceful protesters during the day and try to limit when crime is happening as best you can.

My info comes from the #1 pollster in America, Rich Baris, and the #1 political bettor, Robert Barnes. On a Monday podcast they were laughing about people like you that thought the LA riots would hurt Trump. Remember when you talked yourself into believing that Kamala would win?

Even the heavily biased Dem leaning polls show Trump gétting stronger (CBS News, Morning Consult).

Trump easily won the 2024 election on a platform of mass deportations. We're having riots because the authoritarian Democrats refuse to accept the will of the people.

Continue to believe those polls, please. I (wrongly) thought Harris would win because I didn’t think the American people would be dumb enough to actually elect this bozo again, but even a broken clock is right twice a day in your case. All this is going to end up doing is motivating the large portion of Democrats that sat out in 2024 to get up and actually vote this time, seeing as how Trump didn’t even win the majority.
