I'm not sure why you're using that as some kind of metric for safety, given that no large city would meet it.
Trump claimed that DC is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. That's simply not true. He made it up to justify whatever federal takeover he has planned.
He claims he'll make it one of the safest. I guess he'll point to one of the charts that already say it's not in the top 20 most dangerous in the U.S. and claim that it's because of him.
Either that or he'll simply lie like he's done with prices.

This is all just a test run for how the felon will abuse federal powers for the purposes of election fraud and voter suppression; to practice it, normalize it, and evaluate the reaction to new or different levels of criminality.

He has, after all, already enacted a criminal conspiracy to illegally overturn an election once.

Here are a couple of examples, I went to a happy hour at a nice hotel near Logan Circle in DC last year. I was running late and decided to valet my car. I stepped out of it but left it running and went to had the keys to the Valet, who told me to get back in the car and shut the engine off or it was likely someone would hop in and steal it. That is considered a nice part of DC as well.

I was working at Joint Base Anacostia late last month and asked the Marine LtCol if any of his Marines have tried to live just off base in Anacostia. He said that he had a couple Marines call about a couple apartments that were for rent just outside the base but when the landlord interviewed them and realized they were white, they would not rent the apartment to them for their own safety (ie the renter safety).

If that piece of land (DC) is part of the Capital of the U.S.A., then every crime committed there should be a federal crime. Or… DC should simply be part of Maryland or Virginia with added police to help with the anarchy.

What's your point? Is DC in the top 50 or not?

Does it really matter if that is how things stand in DC?

The Founders did not want the capital to be in any one state and that state have the ability to sway the country because of it.

The easy answer is to recede part of DC back to Maryland and allow the federal government to governor the major areas with a federal government footprint (ie The Mall) but Maryland and DC politicians do not want that.

So by logical extension... dear leader takes over law enforcement in all cities. If not then only the top 50 right? Authoritarians want that power so where does he stop? Maga sees no issues because...not a cult. How about you?

Part of it is the whole "flooding the zone" strategy they utilize.
