What I am hoping is on Gaetz mind is he will be offered a job by Pam Biondi and he will be able to go head hunting through the deep state without the headaches he would face under other circumstances.

Wouldn't surprise me at all at this point.

Better yet maybe he can get added to the P Diddy prosecution. He certainly has experience in that area. :)

What a weird episode in American history. Zero surprises on the Gaetz push back and he folded fast. Utterly baffling.

I would add that under Florida's statutory rape statute it's illegal for a male 24 years of age or older to have sexual relations with female under the age of 18. Not so for a 21-year old male who has a relationship with a 16-year old female.

This seems to be the current talk surrounding Gaetz. Wouldn't that be fun?

Are you suggesting that Trump/Bondi appoint Gaetz as a special counsel? The clown has absolutely no prosecutorial or investigative experience. Any investigations that he would oversee would be a joke. The investigation of the "Russian hoax" overseen by John Durham comes to mind and unlike Gaetz Durham was an experienced and respected prosecutor. After four years the only wrongdoing that Durham found were minor violations by a low level FBI employee. The errors in judgment on the part of the FBI and DOJ found by Durham had been addressed years before by the Inspector General of the DOJ.

Maybe it's just me but I cannot see the connection between that comment and the possibility that Matt "I like my women young" Gaetz could be appointed as a special counsel.

Yes! Boy howdy, we'd really find the election fraud once we get Matt Gaetz on the case.

Benny Johnson: "Put Matt Gaetz in charge of rooting out election fraud as a special counsel all around the country"

    And there it is.

Democrats Prosecute Trump: “Nobody is above the law.”

Republicans: “You’re prosecuting him for political reasons”

Democrats: “Nobody is above the law. Do you think Trump should get special treatment just because he’s the President?”

Republicans: “Okay, just don’t come crying to us when Trump gets reelected and his DOJ starts prosecuting Democrats.”

Democrats before Trump even takes office: “Trump is going to weaponize the DOJ by having a loyalist prosecute Democrats.”

Who could've possibly predicted this? Democrats seem to love creating terrible standards, then whine when that same standard comes back around clocks them square in the face.

The points have escaped you. Dems have no problem with prosecuting Dems who broke the law, see Senator Bob Menendez as a recent example.. The HUGE difference here is that Trump and his MAGA Minions have threatened to go after anyone who prosecuted Trump. As a reminder, Trump was never acquitted of anything. At EVERY trial he was found guilty or liable. He won NO case on its merits. That loony in South Florida's ruling in the documents case would have been overturned on appeal and, absent judicial interference, there was overwhelming evidence of guilt.

He is a 34 time convicted felon, determined to be a sexual abuser/rapist and a serial liar.

Here it comes ….. the report from the House Ethics Committee. It took a secret vote.

House Ethics Committee to release report on its Matt Gaetz investigation

WASHINGTON — The House Ethics Committee has voted to publicly release a report detailing the findings of an investigation into former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., two sources familiar with the matter told NBC News — a reversal from last month when the panel deadlocked on whether to publish the report.

    Some folk got together and someone explained;

"If we do the vote in secret, nobody will know who voted to release it, and it will be so sleazy that we'll finally be rid of that Gaetz POS. Now, if we could just do that with the Trump guy....."

Gaetz vowing to go scorched earth and release names of all congressmen who dipped into the house slush fund to payoff sexual harassment cases.

    Hope he follows through
