    At President Trump's personal expense:

Trump is also finishing plans to build a magnificent ballroom attached to the White House at his expense, waiting on final design approval.

Trump Announces 'Two Beautiful' Flagpoles on White House Lawns

“The digging and placement of the poles will begin at 7:30 A.M. EST, tomorrow morning. Flags will be raised at approximately 11 A.M. EST. These are the most magnificent poles made,” he added. “They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!”

Performative politics. But as long as he's paying I give zero shits.

Those flag polls will still be up when the US celebrates its 500th anniversary. This is not a performative act any more than building the ballroom that Trump is going to build at his expense.

Glad that you don't give zero shits about flag polls that will be displaying the American flag. I'm not surprised.

LOL! Grift didn't make Trump the rich man he is today.

You do know that Trump does not accept a presidential salary, don't you?

LOL! Trump has 3 1/2 years left in his political career. He's into results, not performative politics.

So Trump is giving up a $450,000 salary ($400,000 base salary plus an additional $50,000 for personal expenses) while monetizing the presidency to the tune of enriching himself by billions of dollars. Got it.

Interesting that one would consider the raising of the American flag to be political. I guess that's the attitude of a hyper-political individual; everything is political, especially if you don't like it?

Just how do you think politicians come to office and then leave rich? Get real.

Trump doesn't need or want anything from the office. He has businesses all over the world with family to run them for that.

You know he is not actively involved in any Trump enterprise while he is President?

Wow, that is amazing. What was the profit last year from those businesses?

Do your own research. That is your question, not mine. The Trump empire is so large that I wouldn't know where to start.

How about Trump Media? What was their profit last year? Or the Trump Organization? End of "empire."

No president has come remotely close to using the office to enrich himself and his relatives like Trump and contrary to that narrative and I still think it reeks somewhat of corruption most politicians do not enrich themselves while in office. They do so after they leave office usually by becoming lobbyists and through speaking fees and book deals. Nancy Pelosi has become the poster woman for conservatives who claim that she used her office to enrich herself when in fact she was wealthy before she ever entered politics thanks to her husband's success as a real estate investor and venture capitalist.

I didn't say it was political. I said it was performative
