How would I know what this thread is about? The OP provided next to no information on the topic to discuss. I thought it was about Presidential mental state in which Trump actions are relevant? Is it about the legal aspect of the release? What exactly are we debating here in this thread?

Why "must" he do this? "Must" the next democratic president also release interviews and investigative material related to the investigations into Trump?

 

If the interview was as damning of Biden as Bill wants to believe, there is no world in which Trump would not have already released it.

 

It's hard to know what these Trumpers think is "damning." Being over the hill, I assume.

Committing felonies, inciting an attack on our Capitol, and enacting a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election is OK though. As is completely disregarding the Constitution.

I guess we should look at this as a positive? Shreds of integrity or expectations actually do sometimes rear their little heads?

 

Come on, a juicy nugget like that he would hang on to until he needed to take headlines away from a significant scandal. Like, say, top Pentagon officials leaking classified info or an economy in free fall from terrible trade policy or obvious billion dollar pay-to-play deals for Trump brand hotels and Trump brand crypto. So, clearly, some desperate toady just thought of it and it’s now being disseminated to the rest of the desperate toadies, while other desperate toadies keep digging for any and everything they can find. Like, a craft store bankruptcy or a dem congressmen acting rudely in an airport.

 

They just listed a subset of media outlets. It was not meant to be comprehensive of all media or a statement that the media is reliable (in fact, pretty much the opposite on the extremes). If the goal was really to improve the quality of sources, the nature of the sources should be considered. Extreme sources shouldn't be allowed because AllSides says that they are extreme sources while non-extreme sources are excluded because AllSides didn't choose to include them on their very limited chart.

BTW, what you said is factually false. Allsides lists both as mirror images on their ratings (in the furthest bias position). They just chose not to include one on the chart.

What in Donald Trump's history indicates he has sufficient impulse control to hold onto damning info of a political rival? He usually can't even wait to find proof before slinging allegations.

 

I used to look at Daily Kos. Haven't it a few years. It was too questionable. But so is Newsmax, OAN and others on our approved list.

 

Biden sat for a 25+ minute interview with the BBC this week and was highly critical of Trump. Would not surprise me if this is return fire from the Trump Admin telling Biden he needs to go into permanent retirement and keep his opinions to himself.

I’m sure Biden’s team thinks he needs to start the rehabilitation of his legacy. Trump is telling them not to do it during his term.
