So far I am only seeing three, Marshall, McMillon and Watson.
No one has burned a redshirt. You get to play up to four games. Next game is the earliest it can happen.
am I correct that these are the only three that have played every game and unless they were injured again Tennessee, they should be out there again against Kentucky
We need all hands on deck in the secondary. Lieutenant Dan said we are paper thin back there.
Isn't Marshall a red shirt already? I thought he enrolled last fall?
Marshall is a true freshman.
Is there any benefit to redshirting a kid anymore? Unless he simply isn’t ready to play and would be a liability… work him into a few plays a game. Otherwise you are just leaving him eligibility to play for some other team.
Black playing on special teams as an incoming JUCO transfer.
Think you are correct regarding other freshman not playing. DB room needs upgrade in talent with Elam leaving after this year. Concerned about DL/LB pass rush specialists next year as well. Need some more portal kids there. Moon, Carter, Cox, Valentino, Newkirk, Truesdell, … all gone. Unknown if have any other surprise departures on DL
was happy to see Jalen Lee (not a true freshman) get some PT during the 4th quarter yesterday. He needs to be developed since much of the interior DL will be gone after this year.
Since you can play in up to 4 games without burning your redshirt, there are plenty of guys that have appeared in only one or two games. With Vandy and Samford on the schedule, I think we will see us use many of these guys then.

I can see them sitting Watson for the rest of the year. He is a load but needs to lose weight(less fat/more muscle) to be more effective. Giving him a taste and using him to allow others to heal up was good but he needs the RS year to reach his potential.
True Freshman, currently.
I think he’ll play every week.
I would like a thread on Watson's weekly weigh in numbers. lol
No way. He’ll reach his potential sooner by playing now. He’s already making an impact.
These guys still have redshirt intact.
Nick Elksnis has also played in all four games, but he's got 0 receptions and I don't recall hearing his name, so probably just getting in on special teams. Marshall was listed as a starter against Tennessee due to Kaiir Elam's injury, so he'll definitely get time. Watson is a regular rotation player on the D-line, so he should also get normal snaps. McMillan seems to get both regular and ST snaps, too.
Agree. If we need him this year it is proof we are still in a jam on the Dline.
He looks like a knee blowout waiting to happen.
Pleased with Gamble and Zip. Elksnis needs to sit or get more reps.
He dropped a pass in the endzone in one of the early games. I don't remember him being targetted other than that.
