What does it say about our secondary starters that two of our best passes defended this year were by Moorer and Johnson?

If im correct, Johnson was the kid showing out at practices early in the season.

Isn't coach Knox the special team coach? Props to him. The RBs are also performing really well. I don't think they would have beaten UGA without the RBs big plays.

Yes sir. Moorer, walk on #37, performed very well in limited action. Love to see him get more snaps.

Yep, Knox made the call on the fake punt. Good kudos on your part.

I agree, but the craziest thing is that Rick Wells could have one more year of college football. Either with the Gators (if we have room) or as a senior eligible for another year.... because of COVID...

Loved seeing the young guns on O and D. Watched the OL on the game’s final Gator drive that came up a yard short of the goal-line and really liked the effort the OL displayed. From tackle to tackle they were getting a hat on a hat, pulling and hitting someone and battling to protect EJ on pass plays. I realize UK’s DL was tired but the effort and hustle was hopefully a sign of things to come from these young Gator bigs.

Johnson looked like an outfielder tracking down a fly ball and finding it. He was an excellent high school baseball player too. Doesn't surprise me. Hope he gets more PT.

Diabate's catch was impressive. So often we see a short hard throw like that just bounce off a linebacker. He looks like he has good hands in coverage.

Our young DB’s should be well prepared for playing time after practicing against Pitts, Grimes, Toney, Copeland and company every week. The ‘20 and incoming ‘21’s should provide adequate talent, size and speed for Star, CB and safety.

I think their inability to get many of those practice reps is a big contributor to our porous pass defense so far this season - but they appear to be doing a little better of late. Maybe they’ll hit their game in Atlanta - that would be sweet

Yes, there is a noticeable although slow upward trend. The low point was 4th quarter at TAMU, since then it seems every game has shown slight improvements. Last game we looked solid for the entire second half, same with the previous game.

Maybe we should play 2nd and 3rd halves and skip the first.
