How about Tre’Vez getting that head turned around for a very impressive interception. Love this kid’s aggressive attitude. The turning of the head is something you don’t see much.

James Houston-8 tackles and 2.5 tackles for a loss.

Diabate- what can I say?? Kid is everywhere and moves sideline to sideline really well.

Defense last 8 drives-gave up 51 yards total and only 41 yards in the second half.

Pitts and Trask- Keepin on keepin on.

    Toney-changed the game.

Jacob Finn- His punt helped to change the game.

lots of positives. Let’s hope the defense keeps the intensity we should be fine. UT will try to run it down our throats. If we can start with stopping the run early and pressuring the QB we will hopefully roll.

Diabate’s interception was a thing of beauty. You see guys spy but they often don’t catch that ball like he did. Type of guy we need at linebacker especially to try to cover the back out of the backfield against a team like Bama. His speed is so valuable.

Clearly if you read the post you’ll see we are talking about guys that made a positive impact. I think we could use some positives on this board. What other word would you like me to say?

I read the post... that is why I only ask about the title. My first thought was a group of players tested positive.
    Simple add from the game.

After a painful 28 minutes of football, liked the way the Gators turned things around starting with that incredible punt return; 2H was fun
-A coaching staff that consistently makes in game adjustments as needed
-Dameon Pierce; the kid is a baller....give him a little daylight and he will make them pay
-Slaton had a great game yesterday....7 tackles
-Houston was big stuffing the run in 2H....not a huge fan of him against good QBs, but if team is run focused he is tough to run through
-Diabate is special....young talent on defense starting to show; anxious about losing Kyrie and Slaton next year, but there are budding stars that flash on film in 2Hs last few weeks like Hopper, Tre'vez, Torrance, Pierre, Dexter....like what I see
-Emory's confidence growing....nice looking throws; he was waiting for permission to take the ball into the end zone
-gutsy fake punt call and well designed play
-Great to see Kyle Pitts healthy and impossible to defend
It's GREAT to be a Florida Gator!

I left out Slaton and Pierce. Both had really good days. We are going to miss both of them a lot next year as they have both really progressed to the point where we really count on them now.

Too bad his speed isnt transferable to either safety position.

Interesting point. If so, he’d be a monster. Good tackler is what I like. He’s not perfect but seems to attempt to wrap.

Wasn't sure why coach pulled Dameon Pierce after a couple of short runs
on a series in the third quarter. Brought Davis in and he went nowhere trying to run to the right. Pierce generally appears to run harder and will
    punish a tackler.

I jumped up and ran around the room on the Diabate interception....that fired me up. Great play by one of the young guns.

Felt bad for EJ and Clement or Lingard (I believe)at the end. Wanted one of them to punch it in but fell a yard short

The good news from all of this is we are seeing improvement.

The development of any defensive player is critically important if we are going to have a chance in the SECCG; obviously. I don't know enough about defense to assess what is happening with the defense. Are people waking up? Is corch finally simplifying? A little of both? Whatever it is a full game of awareness is required in the weeks ahead.

    Go Gators.

Lang's block on the fake punt and the perfect snap to Pierce.

    Wells showing promise.

The. Defense looks good when they settle down and can get lined up.
