Saw where coach said that we could add some transfers for next season. Those in the know and I am not one of them have any idea whom these transfers might be?

Don't know if we'll even pursue but LSU's Kelvin Joseph is in the portal

There may be a kid graduating this summer that is eligible immediately, but most in the transfer portal would have to sit out a year. Even the grad transfer would have no time to learn the playbook. Not sure any would be of help this year.

As Mullen has said many times, “If I take a transfer player, it’s to make immediate impact.”

TOS has stated that we reached out to Demari Medley, who was a lightly recruited Gainesville resident, who went to Ark St as a safety a couple of years ago. Seeing a little of his highlights he has some hitting ability but not great size and not top notch speed and athleticism, which is similar to his combine numbers in high school. I don't see that he would get a scholarship, but he could be a PWO with opportunity to earn a scholarship, unless the staff sees something I am not seeing.

He eligible to play this year? If it's a one year deal might be a good idea. Could help on special teams, which I think is where the transfers hurt us most this year.

Also saw Mizzou's appeal of a bowl ban is this week, if it's denied might see a player or two leave

Maybe there is off field trouble that fans are not privy to yet? Because anything more than a PWO for him does seem odd

Not a grad transfer, so I would think he has to sit a year, but who knows these days.

Recruiting is abysmal as it is now, and then add a bowl ban hanging over his head. Yikes. He better hope there is patience there.

Doesn't seem like a lot of players care about the national exposure they get in bowl games anymore though.

I believe he’d be able to play.

3rd string depth at a couple positions. Sometimes a warm body is better than nobody.

That attitude is changing as most coaches are realizing they can't backfill the number of players transferring with high schoolers. The top recruiting schools (Clemson, Bama, UGA, LSU) might be able to but everybody else is going to need to take a few transfers every year to keep their numbers up.

I really hope we are not reaching out for practice players and non SEC caliber players do not provide depth. Okay, fourth string.

I think we're searching for plug-and-play type, that can play immediately, players.
