Jarno is a very talented thrower and would have scored points in the outdoor championships.
One point of clarification however, the under 20 European meet used the 6 kg shot and the 1.75 kg discus vs the 7.25 shot and 2.0 kg used in the NCAA’s. It is very confusing, but high schoolers in the U.S. use a 12 lb. Shot (about 5.45 kg) and a 1.6 kg discus. Internationally athletes of an equivalent age use the 6 kg and 1.75, so it’s a little hard to compare.
Still he has thrown remarkable distances with the larger instruments, and he is only 19.

 

Cross Country rosters are in at UF. 13 women and 9 men. New additions on the women’s side include Desma and Judy Chepkoech both from Arizona State, Claire Stegall Fr. from high school (Tn.) , Keegan Edwards high school Colorado, and Isabelle Jones from England.
The men added Oussama Allaoui from Morocco, Kelvin Cheruiyot out of Kenya, and Alejandro de Bastos from Pembroke Pines High School.
