The new NCAA roster limits for Track and Field are : 45 for men and 45 for women’s track and field, and an additional 17 for each cross country team.
Any additional scholarships?? It doesn't sound like it. I think the men only have 12.6?? That is pretty thin.
There are no more scholarship limits, you can offer full scholarships up to the roster limit… but schools still are bound by Title 9 rules, so that will have to be taken in to consideration
As a UF track runner in the 80s where scholarships were handed out (and sliced up) like precious jewels... It absolutely blows my mind. I was teammates with future Olympian Mark Everett, who was from tiny Milton Florida. I think he signed for books? (It was a long time ago.) I'm sure he got a full after he won SEC, but still. This is just crazy...
