Well if his swarms whining didn’t convince you all he’s a tough guy that’s on you. He’s a man’s man. Like Tucker.
it was done for calculated political gain, not out of s a sense of duty. for that reason, he gets no credit from me Navy Pilots Mock Ron DeSantis for Cringey ‘Top Gun’ Ad (msn.com)
I would not expect a TOPGUN pilot to put down kids who choose to wear masks in his company. The guy is an a-hole. As an aside, many moons ago, I applied to the JAG program. The deal back then was that the government would pay my way through law school, after which I would go into the military as a captain and would have a 5-year commitment. I was rejected. I had a perfect score on the OCS test and I passed the physical. However, I flunked the interview. A typical question was how would I feel about marching troops. My answer was that I was applying to be a military lawyer and could give 2 shits about marching troops. However, if asked to do so, I would do it. Honest answers didn’t work back then and probably still don’t. I had no interest in getting killed in battle. The JAG program was a way to avoid that while getting paid to go to law school. I sure as hell wouldn’t have bragged about it, but I would have been fine doing it.
That was the weirdest part of the video, even aside from the cringey cosplay. He picked all of the videos of himself responding to the media in a whiny manner. Maybe Republicans like whininess? I don't know.
I get it, and I am no apologist for DeSantis and his politics. I was merely pointing out that he did serve, in uniform. Nothing more, nothing less.
Dang, does that mean I have to support gay marriage, more welfare, and more gubmnt control now? Im so confused, signed, stuck in the middle
I don't think the issue is not respecting his service or characterizing it as anything other than honorable. The problem here is how he is portraying his service. Everyone who has served knows damn well that the JAG isn't going out on any combat missions unless he is in the wrong place at the wrong time. He wasn't embedded on any SEAL teams. At least not in the way he is trying to make it look.
I'm not trying to diminish his service, but what exactly is so hard about it? We'd ask the JAG these questions all the time and he just thought about it for a sec and said yes or no on legality. To be clear, these conversations took place way in the back at HQ. It's not like the JAG goes on a mission and provides real-time legal advice while on the objective.
Americans did pretty well under those times and conditions. Your ideas for stealing and spending are outrageous.
