Wondering the same thing. Why hasn't he been released yet? 107 points allowed in the last two games? Send him packing TODAY.

West Virginia plays their bowl game later today, nothing happens with TG today. English should’ve been packing up his office and turning in his access cards early this morning though.

Agree, Safety play has been unacceptable most of the year

Agreed. Example: a certain safety on a 3rd and 8 lined up 15 yards off the slot receiver and backed up at the snap of the ball. Said slot receiver catches pass for another OU first down. I've seen enough of that coverage repeated the entire season. That is the coaching, not the player. If you say it is the player, then it is the coaching putting him on the field. Either way, it lies at the feet of the coaching.

Mullen won't fire him. Only way Grantham isn't here next season is he somehow leaves on his own.

The TG to WV rumors are multi-sourced (reputable) and persistent. There will probably be an announcement soon.

    PS
TG's longest coaching stint was 4 years at Georgia, 2010-2013.

Comments on D and going for clean slate. Citing player regression, confusion, lack of physicality...

Yeah I posted that same article somewhere on these forums this morning. I didn't realize that Buddy wrote that. It's a slam dunk article that should be forwarded to Mullen all morning long by every Gator fan. I actually added that you could add another 5 reasons since that A&M game. Who knew Buddy would nail all of the issues with Grantham just a few games into the season?

Buddy's article highlighted these 6 reasons. Keep in mind they were after the A&M game, not last night.

    ------------------------------------------
But I can feel your anger and see that the defense has deteriorated so badly that I can give you half dozen reasons for why I agree:

    1. The numbers are appalling, including the 100 points and another 500-plus yards yielded on a three-game stretch over more than 1,500 yards.

    2. Sometimes the defense appeared to be so lost that players didn’t know where to line up.

    3. Kellen Mond could have worn a white dinner jacket and not gotten it dirty.

    4. Exactly what does DBU stand for – and why?

    5. If the right guys are not on the field, no matter experience, then it’s time to make changes.

    6. Let’s don’t beat around the bush about poor play of Marco Wilson. Is he hurt? He has been an excellent defensive back and leader for Grantham’s unit, but clearly he needs to be benched.

Seems that way...however, the system has failed me before with the same info streams.

I keep hoping the system will redeem itself. This is its chance ! ;)

(If you are new here and dont know what The System is, dont ask. It sprung a leak in late 2017 and I have been trying to patch it ever sense.)

I saw this but do not know if it is true. If it is true, no further analysis needed on TG.

Before this season, UF's defense had given up 600 yards in a game twice. In all history. It happened 3 times this year.

I think Mullen is hoping Grantham will leave on his own, but he won't fire him because after tolerating Grantham's complete failure to deliver a defense with a pulse for too long, he can't do it now without looking like he was told to do it.

The ideal is for a smooth transition out. Helps recruiting relationships and blunts the narrative of things in disarray.

Not much that could have been done in the last 8 weeks anyway that would have made much sense in-season, but one way or the other a change at DC is mandatory at this point. Too much "noise in the system" at this point, can't carry that baggage into next season.

Perhaps, DM is seeking for TG to leave for another position so as it doesn't appear he's been fired. It's a saving face move since their friends. But hopefully if no takers, DM will chose the program over buddies. I think much of the coaches on D need to leave or be reevaluated.
