Powerful Time cover -
The fawning over Biden is just ridiculous, he has been in office 2 days and the MSM are portraying him as the savior and the greatest man to ever hold the office.
Can we at least give him a few months before he is anointed?
I would say this about any new President
In regards to the cover, amazing how they color the windows in a subtle red orange glow, as if all of DC is a blaze.... Propaganda much.
Not sure it’s just fawning over President Biden but more of having trump out.
I'm sure of it. (Have him out)
It's not only DC that is ablaze.
Biden is facing a pandemic; rising unemployment; a tanked economy; a partisan, unfounded assault on his legitimacy; fractured relations around the world (ex- parts of ME). No president in modern times has faced greater challenges.
The Time cover is an accurate depiction of what he faces as Trump burned down the rubble on his way out. That is the subject of the cover.
You forgot to mention the sky is falling....
Facts are facts. Most of us live in the real world, where “own the libs” doesn’t address any of the things I listed.
I'm not sure there is much if any fawning re Biden, I haven't seen much of anything other than observations that a return to normalcy has been a breath of fresh air. I'm not sure that is even debatable.
As to the cover, it has little to do with Biden and everything to do with the current situation facing the office of the President. And the exterior window portrayal is called symbolism. Propaganda is a different thing.
Well the fires in Portland and Seattle in protest of Biden a few days ago could have explained some to the orange red glow seen out the windows of the Oval.....
Sorry from my view point the US isn't a blaze. I think its rather over the top, but keep telling everyone how terrible it is.
After being in the desert for four years, even a cup of water seems an elixir. For most of us, Biden is that elixir. One may disagree with his political philosophy and policies, but no sane American can deny he’s 100 times the man Trump is when it comes to character, integrity and leadership, and that is what America needs now. So, yes, we are very excited.
Maybe the cover is a little over the top, but the relief most of the nation feels to have Trump and his bunch gone is very very strong. It's never been this way for any other president in my lifetime at least. Unprecedented.
We're in a pandemic but we have a couple of vaccines with more on the way. We're close to vaccinating almost a million people per day. The negative that he is facing with the vaccines is that there are a significant number of people that don't trust them. Being in a pandemic certainly isn't a good thing but at least he came in after vaccines have been created.
The unemployment numbers have been going down since the beginning of the pandemic. They are still too high so that part is a negative.
I don't think this is a tanked economy. However, he inherited a massive and growing debt. You can't get that in the right direction without some pain and the economy, while not tanked, isn't strong enough to handle what would be necessary to fix it. The positive is that many states are starting to open up again.
He's got the vast majority of the press on his side so that makes things easier for him. He's also got the House and Senate on his side.
And for me the cover does convey how trump trashed and vandalized our nation.
Can you really blame the media for the positive coverage after four years of a raging arsonist setting fire to the country?
America voted for who they don’t like instead of policies. We will see how it works out.
We’ve seen how it worked out the last four years.
Well there is a pandemic raging for the last year, that is at an apex for deaths right now. Our Capitol was overrun by thugs 2 weeks ago and rendered DC a military zone....just a couple of highlights that are in fact pretty terrible
You would rather have had Hillary?
