His parents own a 44-acre farm. Even if you get the average price per acre in the state of Florida which is $29,000, that gives you 1.28 million in property without taking into consideration the improvements and equipment. He did not come from poverty.

I had season tickets for a decade or so; 35 yard line 48 rows up. Watched many Gator games with Tebow at the helm. I know this sounds weird, but before seeing Gator games with him at QB, I had pre-game anxiety- it was the same when I used to see Led Zeppelin back in the early 70's.

    He never disappointed.

    Well-earned honor.

    Go Gators.

fair point, but that average is driven up pretty high by Miami/so Fla, TB area, J'ville, O'town, the Keys, and all kinds of beach property.

Ranch/farm land, will inevitably be significantly less than average.

    See:

    Florida Farmland Prices
Over the last 20 years, the price of farmland per acre in Florida has risen by an average of 5.3% per year to $7,190 per acre as of 2019. This represents an increase of $3,640 per acre of farmland over this time period.

    ...

Average Farmland Prices in Florida (FL) | AcreTrader

So say it's valued at $7,500/acre, that would be $330,000.00, not > 1 mil.

    FWIW.

You are assuming the land is exclusively zoned for farming which in Jacksonville is a major assumption. I lived in Jacksonville and much of the property has mixed zoning uses.

If one does not have to worry about a variance to develop condos or a shopping mall on the land, I guarantee you it is not going to sell for 8,000 an acre.
