False and false.
Go back and take a look at the rosters and tell me that we should've been in the tournament again.
What was that class ranked?
You are changing the discussion. This is not about “in retrospect”. It is about what was expected versus what happened.
You really expected an entirely new group of players to make the tournament after the 04s left and the following classes being basically useless? lol
No. 25 Men's Basketball Rolls by North Florida, 102-51 - Florida Gators
You do realize that I don’t individually determine expectations, right?
The fact is .... you are wrong.
General expectations for those three years exceeded results. You can either admit that, or keep digging.
"The No. 25 Florida men's basketball team rolled in its first game as a ranked squad as it defeated North Florida, 102-51, Tuesday at the O'Connell Center." That doesn't mean they were ranked in the preseason smart guy.
Unranked means you're usually hoping for 20 wins. We won 24, 25, and 21 games during the 3-year stretch, what is so hard for you to comprehend. You must've had those big orange and blue glasses on that entire time thinking we underperformed with the likes of Dan Werner.
No, but it does mean they were ranked in an early AP poll... which is exactly what I posted, smart guy.
When I meant preseason... like in 2008-2009... I specified “preseason”.
I see you’ve opted for “digging”.
I like you… You are one of my favorite posters. As such, I’m going to bow out of this before it gets too heated.
I’m comfortable having articulated my position and feel I’ve provided the supporting evidence.
Have a great afternoon.
I’m goin’ fishin’!
6 more days until our next game.......
Let's be honest, following this thread is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY more entertaining than watching our train wreck of an offense
Thank god we have each other. Otherwise there would just be 7 days of lamenting until our next debacle.
True. Not to mention Providence stinks. So even a strong showing will not reassure anyone. But man, another Towson/Marshall type of performance and this thread will be considered mild by comparison next week.
I hope you're right about Providence because we almost lost to Towson, St. Joe's and Marshall. The way we've played this year, there have been no easy W's.
