This is the worst officiated game I've watched this season.

This is seriously a game that would suggest the need to look into the referees accounts. Because it is hard to believe that they are just that bad consistently one direction.

Honestly, I am also a bit disappointed in Mike White's lack of reaction to this. Normally, it is not smart to act like fans do when it comes to officials. But that game deserved a Bob Knight-style chair throw. And perhaps it would have woken the officials (and the team) up a bit.

And when the refs were able to shoot 60% from the field in the second half

I'm sure our coach won't use that as an excuse. There was a classic dead time after getting the 8-point lead and MS hit their shots, especially at the foul line. We had our chances too and didn't get many stops.

There were some stinky calls. Last night I watched a game where both coaches complained about the contact. One coach said players just don't start bleeding. There must be vampires out there.

Well if the SEC won't do anything about it the NCAA would do themselves a favor and keep these refs out of the tourney.

Doubt that was it. He doesn't usually raise a big ruckus with officials. Which is 98% of the time the right move. This is the other 2%, in my opinion. I'm not meaning it as a Mike White isn't a good coach type of argument. But if today didn't warrant a chair throw, I am not sure any game does.

Yup Billy rarely got a tech but once and a while when the refs were being crazy he would use that as a tool to inspire his guys and acknowledge the crappy refs.

Was a frustrating game to watch and remaining undefeated in the SEC would have been terrific. Then again, how many of us would have taken 4-1 when the conference season began? Have never seen so many shots rim out. Most of them were in the first half, but had a few in the second too, at least three 3pts and four 2pts. Def disappointed in the refs, but not worried about the team after this one. Hope Gak does not have a concussion.

Yeah.... we had so darn many shots go halfway down and pop back out. Was not our day.
from a technical standpoint… He's has to stop flopping. I do think he drew a foul late in the game, but wasn't given the call… Perhaps because he flopped a timer to previously.

I'd have to go back and watch again but I'm not sure the last one was a flop by Hayes. Think he might have actually been knocked down.

Because when he played actual defense, he gets called for a soft foul. He was in foul trouble all game--had to change his approach. I understand him at least trying something different and hoping for a break...but when the officials are out to screw you, there realistically isn't anything you can do.

I guess that is a fair point. He did have to defend differently due to foul issues.

Disappointed in this loss. I thought that this was a winnable game for Florida.
It just goes to show you that sometimes one cannot overcome the refs, too.
Especially in the way the refs were making certain calls.

Refs killed us today, but we still should have won. Terrible performance aside from Stone. It’s hard to win on the road, but we should have today. Might not mean much in the grand scheme but very disappointing.

Stevens was hanging on Hayes back when Cheese missed the layup and they were trying to decide who knocked it out.

I agree, we are better than Ole Miss 9/10 times. At the end of the day we just didn't knock down enough open shots and weren't selfish enough. We have a lot of players who really like passing which is great to a degree, but it hurt us today. If you're open, shoot it. You're only helping the defense when you pass up open shots.

According to Ken Pomeroy Ole Miss has the 7th largest home court advantage in Division 1. After watching today I would have thought it would be much higher.

It’s not their play or the fans so 7th is pretty good.

Many years ago my then department chair at UF told me the Oxford, Mississippi, had the highest concentration of beautiful women on the planet. Maybe the refs just like being in Oxford.
