it appears universal wants to open again june 1, the first 3 or 4 days to employees and annual pass holders, june 5 is the plan for everyone, did not see how many will be allowed in, interested to see how disney responds, will all 4 parks open at once, again to whom and at what capacity.

That's a hard pass. Summertime with buttloads of sweaty obese disgusting tourists and their sticky handed children? Nope.

cannot envision much more than 50% capacity, at least for a couple of months, maybe 75% by october when it cools off, might even at first only allow state residents and/or hotel guests in, no people staying off their properties.

I wouldn't even go to those parks during the summer before all this started. Way too hot, humid, and crowded. Can usually only make it when we come down for Fall break in October. Unfortunately only gives my family time to go to one park.

Heck i lived down there for 25 years you couldn't drag me kicking and screaming to those parks. Unless one of my favorite bands were playing at the Hard Rock or the House of Blues.

Will be interesting. If it is like gyms, people will wait a few weeks.
My gym has seen maybe a 1/4 of regular members return and has seen a 1/3 of the members cancel their membership.

70% of my clients want to wait until June before they come back for training.

Harry Reid once told a reporter that you could literally smell the tourist coming into the US Capitol building in the summer.

sure that disney wants to start asap, they have extended the numbers of days on your annual passes by the number of days they are closed, the sooner they open the sooner the clock to renewal starts up, i am sure universal and sea world did the same.

I'd rather lick every door knob in town than go to a theme park in the summer.

I've got grandkids coming for two weeks in July and I bet Disney is on the schedule. Last thing in the world I would chose for a day away from work. Two boys, 6 & 11 would love Disney tho...darn it. The beach will likely come into play as well...Wekiva Springs, much better...maybe a slow canoe ride is possible.

Wekiva is much too crowded. (I'm not a crowd person even without a pandemic.) For a fun drive, maybe you could try some of the many nice springs in the Ocala National Forest.

Well if crowds are your prob, this would be the time.

If as-dirty-as-it-gets is, then oh hell no.

    LOL

We only had a 30 day cancellation policy in place. But the owners decided to allow anyone to cancel if they didn't feel comfortable returning. First they offer a hold but if they want to cancel they cancel them.
Caveat, they are told that if they want to rejoin they will have to pay the new member price which for some would be 20 dollars more a month.

8 weeks closed is long enough for the alligators and moccasins to stake out new territories. Be careful and stay in the main areas.

Love it when those two places have classic rock bands from the past playing there. I especially like the House of Blues setup. The last band I saw there was Fuel... they rocked. Hubastank chickened out at the last minute. Even The Little River Band was great about ten years ago.
