agreed about Hunter but he’s SPECIAL. He gonna play early whether it’s at DB or WR. He’s the best player this cycle imo.

oh well, he gonna have to get this work for the next 3 years. He not exempted from it lol

FSU had everyone leave or transfer. They are selling immediate playing time. They also have better recruiters than Florida does. Mullen, Grantham, Hevesy and Knox are in the lowest 25 percentile in terms of recruiting compared to their respective peer groups. Huge disadvantage for us.

I know everyone is tired of hearing accusations of recruits being bought but FSU boosters probably know this next year or two are critical in righting the ship. I imagine they are pulling out all stops to help recruiting.

The finish to last season absolutely killed our recruiting momentum (especially the loss to LSU). Recruiting is all about the perceived direction of the program.

But the good thing is that the level of recruits we're still on the radar of, even though we don't appear to be a favorite, is way above where we were a couple years ago. If we start the season strong and show we're still a top 10 program that's on the rise, some of these guys will take notice. If we take another step back, we'll be shopping the portal again.

Not to say that we shouldn't be recruiting these kids, but you really can't count any of the IMG recruits as FL recruits since they come from all over.

our BOTTOM this year better be 9-3 with losses only to LSU, Bama, UGA if we go by the odds. You get one of those three and go into the bowl game 10-2 and recruiting BETTER be better this cycle. I think it will be but you never know

Came to say this - 9/30 are from IMG. Problem with those kids is they’re from all over the country, legacy IMG staff made sure to route recruits anywhere but UF in-state, and they usually require the biggest bags. So we are projected at 4/21 if you exclude IMG. Same as Miami and FSU is at 2/21 and one of them was McCall who flipped from us to FSU when we fired Gray/English.

Still kinda crazy to think only 10/21 going to the big 3 (as predicted) and that that’s likely on trend for where we’ve been. Granted a lot of undecideds could go to one of the 3 but I think it’ll only shake out to 1 more each school.

The money thing with IMG is weird but considering we’re geographically the closest P5 school you’d think we’d have a better success rate there and would have a closer relationship. I have a feeling eventually they’ll get shut down from a scandal but who knows?

We're all over Texas recruits, so I don't know why we shouldn't put the full court press on kids who can unofficial any time.

Bobby, I don't want to be a negative Nellie, I want Mullen to stay but once again the vibe I'm getting on the recruiting front is not much different than any other Mullen year, which puts us somewhere between 12 - 7. Behind 3 - 4 other SEC schools.

That was OK the first two years cause Mullen is building the thing up.
But we slid to 8 - 4 last year on a sad 3 game losing streak with the best offense in the history of the program.

If you cut through all the B.S. and go by wins and losses, last year ended in a very bad way. As in UF trending DOWN. NOT GOOD form going into the 4th season when you expect a program to become dominant, not fade.

Yes, I know all about Covid, which all teams had to deal with so IMO that's NOT an excuse. Now your talking 9-3 with losses against essentially the better teams we play. NOT GOOD in year 4 IMO.

CDM better turn that defense around in a hurry or things could get nasty in hogtown.

About the same as getting top 50 players from out of state. If we had Urban as coach, I doubt we would be moaning about not getting IMG players because he would nab them regardless of the headwinds of whoever is coaching at IMG or them being from out of state. There are some recruits there from in state, and we should go after them.

I think it’s a stretch to assume we will go 9-3 with as much talent as we are losing. It’s very likely we will lay an egg somewhere like we did with LSU last year. I really hope we do but not holding my breath. Looks like Mullen is more of a mark richt than urban Meyer. Really bummed about that.
