No knock on AN, but I expect Scottie Lewis and Blackshear to be the best players on the team.

Good to have some players “noticed” in the preseason.

KB is mature enough, I suspect to handle such spotlight. He also doesn’t seem to be the type that actively seeks the attention, as evidenced by his low key GT selection process.

AN is mature beyond his years. Good decision-maker.

And yeah, by season’s end, we are banking on Scottie to be *noticed* and on the list of top players!

Call it a hunch, but I think Keyontae has a monster season.

I don’t think that Keyontae has that in his make up. He was hardly noticed at IMG, and he was secondary to Keldon Kohnson at Oak Hill. And yet, he was a great player at both schools. I think that he likes the quiet role. However, with the floor spread next season, he should get more dump offs and lanes for slam dunks. My guess for Keyontae next season is a quiet assassin.

I think that he will have a highlight reel just on baseline inbounds plays.

Oh, man, I'm salivating at the inbounds play options. Nembhard to bring it in, with Keyontae or Lewis breaking to the hoop, Blackshear sealing his guy off, and Locke finding an open spot on the perimeter. It was awesome this past season but will be even better this season.

Is KB really THAT good? A VaTech guy that works for me says he is very good, but frustrating at times as a fan.
Man. No. 7 overall player? Lets hope Andy is correct.

KJ is a highlight reel for me.
For a guy 6'-5" he has the hops.

I remember one game when he blocks a shot -
"so what you say" - well the block I'm thinking about he was not "close" to the shooter, a few feet away....…..shooter goes up for a jumper and lets it go.....…..KJ BLOCKS this shot when the ball is reaching the top of it's arc.

For those of you that play, you know how hard that is to do, especially when you are "separated" and not right on the shooter. I think KJ had one of those 40+ inch verticals on that shot!!!

One thing that really has me intrigued will be the more athletic lineups that CMW may implement. I love the running game and would like to see KJ, Lewis, Mann etc. taking it to the rack. We should have some cool dunks to watch this year!

I love KJ’s game and have been touting him since before most of you heard of him. If any of you saw Oak Hill Academy play when KJ was a senior you might have noticed that Keldon Johnson is at least an inch taller than Keyontae. Keldon was measured without shoes at the NBA combine at 6’ 4.75” tall. That means that our power forward is less than 6’ 4” tall without shoes. I’m still thinking that his NBA position, if he makes it, is as a guard.

I saw him the other day leaving Peach Valley Cafe. I agree that he is less than 6-5.

They inflate everybody's height, so KJ is comparable to any other 6'5" guy out there. Whether he's 6 '3" or 6'5" , the kid is a stud. If his height makes him a 4 year player, we ought to be grateful.

Katz probably was looking at proven production. Lewis is a game changer though. You are right

Katz had 4 incoming freshmen in the top 25 and an honorable mention to one more. I guess that it is reasonable to not consider Lewis to be one of the top 5 incoming freshmen. I’m counting on Katz to be wrong.

Scotty Lewis will be a solid player, might be into SEC play that he gets his sealegs. Just my humble opinion. He'll get some seasoning and grow as the year progresses.
