That’s confusing then. We lost that game. Even if it was a great effort at that moment, I don’t see how it could be one the D’s greatest moments ever if it doesn’t result in victory.
Damn crooked refs too
I can’t bring myself to give you bacon, but I strongly disagree with what you’ve said here. With those crooked refs repeatedly resetting Georgia closer and closer, even calling an unsportsmanship on Mullen, that 8-play goal line stand by our Gator D was heroic. Damn shame we didn’t win, but that was a heroic performance by our Gators.
It was October 27, 2018 to be exact. And as far as I’m concerned the fact that we didn’t win the game doesn’t diminish the accomplishment. We stopped Georgia from crossing the goal line on seven consecutive plays from very short yardage. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any other team in college football do that.
The pass interference call on that series was such BS.
I think our stand at lsu was just as impressive, and we won that game. Think we had a couple awesome stops in that one.
I thought I’d just watched someone die.
Can’t disagree with you about the officiating. But I will say that the reason I don’t particularly remember the stand in question is because we didn’t win.
Didn't we have an amazing goal line stand against Oklahoma in the 2008 MNC game? Or am I thinking of something else?
Yep Torrey Davis earned all his 5 stars on one glorious play
Not to mention the pic at the goal line by Major Wright that I think 5 Gators touched before he snagged it
