You mean the 3 or 4 articles popping up on major sports outlets quoting him as saying he's open to an NFL gig?

Can someone clear this up for....did he "sit" Pitts for lsu or was Pitts still hurt and the trainers advised against it or Pitts himself did not feel he was 100% and did not feel up to playing..which is it really?

I believe Mullen said Pitts was banged up and didn’t practice LSU week.

Doesn't fit the narrative of crybaby Gator fans having such massive influence over all things Gator football.

I’ll assume he thought they could get past LSU by resting/protecting a big weapon Bama couldn’t cover and miscalculated

I also assume the injury against UGA created some of that caution

So the "mistake" made to just sit him for "no reason" is not 100 % true...

Medical staff held Pitts out. What other reason would there be? Pitts would have wanted to play, Mullen would have wanted to play him, and the team needed him.

I think they are a vocal MINORITY. Most of us are smart enough to know what we have.

I get it..but others keep blaming the coach for holding Pitts out just because. ..not because he was still injured

As far as I can tell, this is nothing more than an agent putting out stuff to get his client more moolah. I don’t see it any other way. The tie in with the Jets is hilarious to me. I am a Jets fan and the Jets is a graveyard for coaches as of late. Probably always has been. Last coach to do anything there was Rex Ryan. To add to it the media in NY would make the media here look like a kiddie pool in comparison. You think Gator fans are harsh, Jets fans are worse. There are better places to land then the Jets. The whole organization from top to bottom need an enema. Lastly, I don’t think Mrs. Mullen would approve of moving to NJ since the stadium is in Jersey. As a Jersey Boy myself, the state smells awful, I just don’t see that move being good for them.

There might be one or two realistic possibilities that could accomplish as much as Dan is capable of.
The problem is we are three years in and almost finished with a fourth recruiting year. The prospect of starting all over on the chance that we might get someone as good, or even more remote chance of someone better, doesn’t appeal to me.
Make no mistake though, what we think is not going to play a role in this.

Lots of teams have good records against the Noles the past 3 seasons.

I've read lots of post these past days and I don't recall anyone saying "fire DM" unless any criticism is counted as fire him which in itself is ludicrous. But then again we live in a culture of "fake news" so have at it.

Pitts was hurt. No way he doesn't play him with that much on the line if he was 100%. No way.

You should check out the premium board here. Lost of nonsense being spouted over one terrible game. And yes, even here...some are saying Sark should be here...lol!

People here arent calling for him to be fired, but several have been like "oh well, let him walk or there are plenty better" which is just as weird in my opinion.
