I came across this sentence in an article about the election and I thought the first half was really good description of what government is and why we have it. Shared benefits and acceptable restrictions. I think the second half is a little too simplistic.
It’s always been a necessary evil. The real trouble is keeping it in check…not allowing it to grow uncontrollably. Hard to do with so many govt lovers out there.
