I believe that people like Steyer, Bloomberg, Donald Sussman, and James Marilyn Simons also assist Democratic causes. I believe that people who have an inordinate concern for Soros are antisemitic and believe in some sort of one world conspiracy.

I am fairly certain that, over the course of his life, Soros has out-spent all of the others that you quoted, combined. A lot of his money was made in an unethical way, and a lot of his political contributions were made in an unethical way. And, no, that does not make me antisemitic and it does not make me believe in a one-world conspiracy. I believe in a one-Soros conspiracy which is not all-encompassing, but it does encompass the Clintons, for example, who are also highly unethical.

I think many who claim to be in the center do so because they perceive themselves as being reasonable and that they have some self-awareness that they hold a mix of views that might be categorized on the left and the right, while perhaps not recognizing that they are of a broader ideological world view or inclination Then there's also the reaction to the poles. If y person perceives x persons as extreme and y person doesn't want to be perceived as such, then y claims centrism, even if y tends to agree on some level with an extreme.

On the other hand, I don't know if there is any objective definition of centrism, but maybe centrists are of a personality type that just don't feel strongly enough about any/most issues to be solidly on board with them or maybe they are just so dedicated to compromise that this is the only end goal in itself?

More both sides BS. If you’re in the middle then you might as well print my signature on the gravestone of America.

You don’t have to be a socialist commie to oppose the awful movement the republicans have become. It is vile. Based on the rantings of a lunatic riling your fears.

Democrats offer choice. Choice for your body. Choice for your religion. Choice for who you love. Choice. Also believe a safety net should exist for the vulnerable and that the rich are not paying their fair share.

Republicans biggest trick was tricking poor people into believing it is unAmerican to ask the rich to pay more. In fact, it’ll demolish the country. o_O

A house divided cannot stand. This nation is so divided politically, morally and spiritually that imo it will be the downfall of this nation. I know I'll get heat with this post, but this nation has been blessed by God and once we've literally turn our back on Him, I see his blessings being withheld. We cannot thumb our nose to God, act as if He doesn't exist and not expect to pay a price. We will reap what we sow and I'm seeing the signs of destruction. I know I'm probably in the minority who believes in God but I grieve for those who will one day stand before God and wish they had believed and followed, but it will be too late.

Presuming there is a god, why would this nation be blessed by this god?

    And how would you know?

It’s been way worse. Slavery, Civil War, civil rights, Vietnam war, and so on... We are arguing over tax rates and budget expenditures. ;)
