How many years of service does he have. I think they need four to get a pension.

He just needed to get much stronger. Had talent and athleticism, but was too small to play in the league. His bench at pro day/combine was weak compared to other OL. Hopefully he has put on more weight and gained more strength from weight room work since graduating. Savage would have helped him out, if they got a chance to work together

I love how our OL always end up being better pros than college players. :emoji_shrug:

too many to name from the last decade that does end up getting PT in the NFL even though they underachieved in college relative to their expectations

Aren’t most of them are 3 stars? How can you under achieve when they were expected to be an average player in college?

Humphries first come to mind as one who got better in the league than they were in college.

Harrison was a 4* but was solid at best in college but wasn’t someone I thought when he left college would be in the league come 2021.

Halapio and Garcia were in the 700’s and 900’s so you can say they’ve out performed their rankings coming out of HS. Heggie was a mid 3* and it remains to be seen about em. Same with Stone as was a low 3*, shoot as was Fred Johnson and Jawaan Taylor

I would take exception to your point on a 3 star OL being average and not having high enough expectation to be able to underachieve. OL are historically underrated in the rankings. In 2001 only 50 were at least 4 stars for positions that take up almost a 1/4 of the team. So alot of 3 stars are going to be highly expected to contribute and start on well known P5 teams and have the opportunity to be noticed and drafted. In 2001 15 of those 50 went to schools that would not come close to a top 10 recruiting school. So the other 35 would not even allow the top 10 to have a full 4 member OL class of 4 star or up. And the reality is that most of the top 15 recruiting classes didn't even have half of their OL class being at least 4 stars, as Bama, OSU, and Uga have taken 12 of them for themselves. There are some pretty high expectations of the top 100 OL recruits.

Scheme or talent. Sometimes the defense isn’t made for a certain position to make the plays.

Our 3*s were properly evaluated by our coaches and undeserving of their recruiting site rankings.
