I would actually like to know more about this case, though…. I think they deserve answer as to why the arrest warrant was never acted on… is it just a “white lady” had priority over “black boy” in the south thing, or another reason?

Anyway, sad that this lady had a warrant out for her arrest decades ago that was never served, goes to show how corrupt and garbage and racist the system was and still is. Hope she finds herself in the pits of hell when she eventually dies.

 

The Emmitt Till story should remain a centerpiece of racist American history forever. It's emblematic of what has been wrong. Can anybody describe with greater detail than what was provided in this article, what her crimes were, or was it a simple matter of making a false accusation?

To 51's post, I'm not sure where the mob behavior was. A small number of people entered a housing facility seeking this woman. There are no reports of violent or destructive behavior. How was this a mob?

 

She admitted that she made up the facts of her accusations that led her husband and brother to do what they did, which was murder him. So she lied and it started the process to a brutal murder.

 

She was charged in the warrant with kidnapping. And also apparently admitted to federal investigators in 2017 that she made the story up and the kid didn’t really whistle at her or try to touch her…

Second how do you equate a Mob that killed a dude to a group looking to talk to a woman? I don’t think killing a black guy is equivalent to talking to a white woman, do you?

The exact details of the case matter of which we don’t have. However best I can tell she is accused of falsely accusing still of whistling at her. I haven’t heard anything that she was involved in a conspiracy to commit murder. I suspect the statue of limitations would be up on making false statements. Probably not if she was directly involved in the murder.

None of us know what the old lady’s state of mind is 60 years later. She may regret it. She may be an old hateful racist. She may be senile and crazy. We don’t know. Legally it doesn’t matter.

A peaceful protest outside the facility is probably within the law, whether it serves in purpose I really can’t say. A mob tourists invading the old folks home is inexcusable.

It is one thing when a mob illegally engages in any sort of violent behavior. It is an entirely different thing when a mob tries to take over the functioning of the federal government and overturn election results.

The first is inexcusable and illegal but not terribly uncommon. The second is a form of treason and rarely happens, except in 3rd world countries. The fact that wanna be wokesters looked the other way during BLM violence in no way excuses a willful attempt to overthrow the federal government.
