The Left’s Growing Record of Insanity
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi mocks the idea of securing America’s southern border as something only a bigot like President Trump would want. Hence, she and her party oppose even a dime for any more physical barriers that would help the border patrol stem the ongoing invasion of illegal immigrants. Three more caravans on the way? Ho hum.

Openly socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York Democrat, wants not only open borders but to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which is charged with keeping us safe from drug dealers and violent criminals. She also backs a confiscatory tax scheme with rates as high as 70 percent, free college tuition and a “Green New Deal” mandate that would strangle industry, cause energy costs to skyrocket and make blackouts common. She’s a huge hit wherever she speaks.

New York State’s Democrats last week legalized late-term abortion right up to a baby’s due date. Virginia’s Democrat Gov. Ralph Northam endorsed what amounts to infanticide after birth while defending a proposed law that would allow abortion of a baby even during a woman’s labor. Commentator Larry O’Connor has dubbed Dr. Northam, who is a pediatric neurologist, “Governor Gosnell,” after the infamous Philadelphia baby butcher recently depicted in the Dean Cain film “Gosnell.”

California Democrat Sen. Kamala Harris wants to end all private health insurance plans and put the government solely in charge. She’s not even bothering to falsely promise, as did President Obama, that everyone can keep their health plan and doctor if they like them. She wants no escape.

I think the last statement by the writer sums it up
"Given the unblemished record of human misery produced by socialism and communism, you’d have to be crazy to want to push our country in that direction – wouldn’t you? "

Almost everything in your post is wildly popular with the public and hardly insane.

What’s closer to insane is defending a president that 57% of the country says they definitely won’t re-elect.

I think the left has gone way to the left towards insanity.

Howard Schultz's whole reasoning behind running for President shines a light on how insane the Democratic party has become.

This is probably why Democrats are enraged by Schultz talking about running for President.

The Pubs have gone "insane" on the right. This white nationalism, trying to spend insane amounts to keep out people who put food on our tables because their skin is brown, and sucking on Putin's white nationalist teat while he attacks us is as clear evidence of that as you could possibly get.

Dems appear to be going the opposite way, seeing if going as "insane" to the left will help them win. If it worked for the Pubs, why not?

Hopefully a responsible adult with some ideas on running the country in a practical fashion will show up. And hopefully there are enough sane Americans left to vote for such a candidate.

I listed to the polls on the mid-terms and they underestimated the Democrat landslide in House while predicting the Republican victories in the Senate.

Yeah, look at all the people getting on the Schultz bandwagon over deficit reduction and because Democrats want to raise taxes on rich people:

If Schultz isn't a threat why all the uproar from Democrats?

LOL … now they are eating their own:

RICHMOND, Va. — Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of Virginia emphatically denied on Monday a woman’s claim that he sexually assaulted her in 2004, suggesting that Gov. Ralph Northam’s supporters were trying to block his ascent to the governorship at a moment when Mr. Northam is besieged by demands that he resign over charges of racism.

“Does anybody think it’s any coincidence that on the eve of potentially my being elevated that that’s when this uncorroborated smear comes out?” Mr. Fairfax told reporters surrounding him in the rotunda of the state Capitol about whether he believes Mr. Northam, a fellow Democrat, was behind the accusation’s coming to light. He offered no evidence tying the Northam camp to the allegation.

Just hours after The Washington Post published a story on Monday outlining the woman’s allegation — that Mr. Fairfax assaulted her soon after they had met in Boston at the Democratic National Convention — the lieutenant governor said that he and the woman had had what he called “a 100 percent consensual” sexual encounter.

Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax of Virginia Denounces Sexual Assault Allegation as a ‘Smear’

The Dems won the midterm popular vote by 9M. That's a massive landslide.

Our politics have become the giant click clack toy that sat on my desk 25 years ago. One ball far left, next ball far right.

Not sure who represents me anymore, but it’s not the extreme on either side.

Some say democracy dies in darkness, which is true.

It also dies when it is overrun by special interests and is awash in expectant cash on both sides and fails to properly govern itself, which is where we are now.

Open borders are not wildly popular and such a concept is completely insane. No country has open borders and it is a ridiculous and dangerous concept.

That's right, no country has open borders, especially ours, even without a stupid wall. Don't believe your own strawmen, as if anyone's position is tearing down all the border security and points of entry that already exist.
