The EPA is checking to see if any of the bourbon has gotten into the river.

Might make for even better drinkin' water!

    If the river was whiskey
I would be a diving duck
    If the river was whiskey
I would be a diving duck
I would swim to the bottom, but I would drink my way up

It's a decent bourbon. Thank goodness it was not Pappy VanWinkle.

    The other half fell yesterday.

    An estimated 20,000 barrels total

I think the only correct thing to do is to let volunteers clean up the mess and take home the remains.

So between the two accidents approximately 40,000 barrels?
    That will hurt your feelings.....

No. 9,000 in the first, and 11,000 in the second is how I read it.

Sorry I skipped over total as the last word of the sentence. Still 20,000 will hurt your feelings.

    THANX PEGEEN!
The night a river of whiskey ran through the streets of Dublin

"The fire spread quickly. As the flames reached the wooden casks holding the liquor, they burst open, sending a burning river of whiskey flowing through the streets. By the time William and John set out for the blaze, the flow measured 2ft wide, 6 inches deep and stretched more than 400m down one side of Mill Street."

    Not much lost there ;)
Whisky (without the "e") is the spelling used in Scotland for their product. If a truck full of Glengoyne had crashed, there would be cause for great sorrow. One of my favorite whiskys (a bit spendy):
