The list of grad transfers entering the proverbial portal will grow each day.
Here is a thread to keep us updated.

This is a kid we may be in on . . .

Will be one of the more pursued GT in the country. A good 4 who is an excellent rebounder . . .

He apparently struggled shooting this year, but had shot well the year prior.

    Justin Pierce - 2018-19 - William & Mary

At this point a strong defender/rebounder is more critical than offensive skill. We can get low-post offense from Stokes. We have nobody that can replace Hayes' defense and rebounding on the roster currently, and Payne won't be ready for serious minutes next year.

Need an athletic 6-10 C with speed to keep up with our incoming fast recruiting class.

We need the best available player that can fight for rebounds and score. Doesn't have to be a true 5, but it should probably be someone with at least legit 4 size.

Agree. Zion Williamson is only 6-7 but is very athletic . He would be an awesome grad transfer if he wasn't a freshman and going pro.

He actually might be a possibility. Rumor is he has no intentions of returning to Duke. ;)

Even in better shape Stokes is a role player at UF, not a big minute guy

Disagree. He would be a solid 4. Good footwork. Decent hands and a nose for the hoop.

I think Stokes could get starters minutes at the 5 if we have a 4 that can block shots and rebound. I'm just not crazy about Stoke being out there as our only big. It leaves us too vulnerable defensively.

But even if Stokes comes off the bench next season, he is capable of providing an offensive spark and providing low-post offense (let's say 12-15 min a game). But I don't see anybody slated to be on the roster that can provide anything in terms of rim protection, defense, and rebounding. Payne is not ready to anchor against college bigs.

I think we're all curious to see what another season of proper diet and conditioning could do for Stokes. Let's just hope he doesn't fall off the wagon and start eating crap food again. It's easy to stay on point during the season, but the food and lifestyle temptations might creep back in the offseason. Who knows what we're going to get. I just hope he sticks with it. If he does, I agree we could play him 15-20 mins, maybe more, at the 5 next season.

Wow Pierce averaged 9 rebounds a game. Not a great shooter, but good enough to have to guard from bonus land.

    Would take Andrew or Pierce.

Will never consistently be able to switch 1-5 like White likes to do.

That’s the kid from Lehigh. 6”8 225 and can score and rebound. Anytime I see a kid with 16 rebounds in a game I say sign him up.
