Man, I just don’t see it. His head coaching record is 19-23. That wouldn’t sit well with a lot of Gator fans.

 

One that wins more games than he loses to start with.

 

No, Hell no. Rebuilt Arizona with a 16-21 overall record? This is what gets us in trouble, hiring posers like McElwain, Mullen, Muschamp, and now Napier. Fisch has done nothing as a HBC other than have a 10-3 season at Arizona. But even with that 10-3 season, he was 16-21 overall at Arizona. Now had he stayed another season and made it to the CFP with a 13-1 record, ok maybe. But the guy doesn't have a long track record, he's too new. I don't want projects anymore. Either we get a proven winner, or might as well keep Napier.

Well he just took over a Washington team that was in the playoffs last year. Lost to rival Washington st today 24-19. Not a good start.

I never found him particularly “likable”. I found him boring and dull. He struck me as an unremarkable high school PE teacher, which is pretty much exactly what he is. A very, very rich one at that.

 

The problem with "proven" enjoyers is that nobody really meets the standard. Kiffin has basically done what Mullen did and Mullen was a "poser." So who is "proven" that we could actually get?

 

I get that but, look at what he has had to work with and what he has accomplished. He is a program builder, his offense is fun to watch, and we might be able to land him due to his affiliation with the university. He is one of us. I think we should bring him home. I don’t think we could land Kiffin and I certainly do not want that spectacle of getting turned down over and over again. Get it done quietly and make it happen!

He took over the national championship runner up and lost to Washington St. That's what he's accomplished.

 

Who would you suggest we get? We are a dumpster fire program with no President, soon to be no AD, and soon to be no Coach. The things that made UF appealing in the past was the location. In the era of NIL that is less important to recruits. They can fly family to games so being close to home is not that important anymore. With the new playoff, elite coaches can make the playoffs from say, Ole Miss. Why would you leave that for this pressure cooker. So tell me, aside from loyalty to their school, any elite coach would come here?
