When are we going to get back to Russia, Russia, Russia? I want to see Shifty’s indisputable facts.
Be patient. Eventually Deranged Donald's sycophantic supporters will see all of the facts although even now sufficient facts have been disclosed to justify impeachment. There is a good chance that Lt. Col. Vindman will testify publicly and if and when that happens it will not go over very well for the Donald.
The Mueller report is available online: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf .
Good place to start.
LOL why would anyone believe the gateway pundit on this story?
The fact that some demented, vengeful, Trump disciple could believe it and cause harm to someone that may or may not be the whistleblower is troubling and probably terrifying to the person named. Congress should act to make it illegal to identify whistleblowers who go through official whistleblower channels.
I love the whacked out concept that is, “gosh, everything would be so much better if Trump could do anything he wants in secret so anyone who finds it fishy wouldn’t know about it.”
That isn’t a government of checks and balances. It’s an authoritarian monarchy.
I think it was a foregone conclusion that the whistle blower was "anti-Trump" ... because pro-Trump sycophants never would have written that. It was the pro-Trump sycophants who tried to help him edit, hide that transcript in the first place.
Well, we've seen this coming from the beginning. Despite heavy editing, the released 'transcript' made it clear that Trump was trying to tie the aid to Ukraine to an investigation of Biden. We've got testimony from people like Taylor and Vindman confirming that.
But, Republicans have made it clear that if they can identify the whistleblower as a partisan Democrat, they think all the evidence that had nothing to do with him should somehow be ignored.
The only thing that is BS are the folks defending the crimes committed by railing against those that exposed them. Absolutely absurd.
And BTW, "if this was any other POTUS" carrying on like this guy trump, like let's say, oh I don't know... Obama; you would be leading the pack with pitchforks and torches. Check your hypocrisy.
Outing the whistle-blower is so 10 witnesses ago.
Even John Bolton has been quoted as calling this a "drug deal". Supposing this guy is the whistle-blower (which is obviously a huge unproven), it's actually a shame nobody higher up had the courage to be one. Instead, the cowards fed information to a lower level staffer.
Mike Pompeo - if the guy had any ethics or basic integrity at all - should have been whistleblower #1, since this little "drug deal" was an end-run around his state department. It actually should have never gotten to the point of holding up the aid or recalling the ambassador, for all Rex Tillerson's shortcomings as Secretary at least he pushed back on Trump's criminality - he probably would have informed the President "that is against the law, Mr. President". This is what happens when a President surrounds himself with yes men.
Even if the whistle blower is "anti-Trump", it does nothing to change the facts reported by several people now.
Trump was shaking down the leader of a foreign country to dig dirt on a political rival. And tried to cover it up.
That's criminal and traitorous behavior.
The excuse that the guy is just anti-Trump is completely absurd and irrelevant. Grasping at straws by Trump people.
In the midst of a burglary a criminal uncovered evidence that his victim was a serial child molester. He went on to provide the evidence to the police. According to Trump supporters, evidence of child molester’s actions would be unimportant, only that the person reporting the crime is a burglar.
I guess only people completely invested in Trump could report him, but as soon as they do they’re Trump-hating and to be dismissed.
Schrodinger's Whistleblowers. Simultaneously both patriots and Trump-hating democrats -- the only way to tell for sure is to open the box and hear their story.
Even this is not a great analogy, as there isn't evidence the whistle-blower did anything but try to follow the law. Hardly tantamount to a "burglar".
Your last sentence is spot on though.
I intentionally picked something “worse” than being a Democrat or never-Trumper to make a point. It’s not meant to be a one-to-one analogy but to illustrate that who the whistleblower is or what they've done is irrelevant.
Rick and fever have become the inversion of the Boy Who Cried Wolf-seeing a POTUS who can do no wrong and anyone who criticizes him as a deep state, leftist, bogus Communist clown, calling things like whistleblower laws phony, heroes hacks, first hand accounts “heresay”
and a phone call record written by the White House, not transcribed verbatim but redacted with omissions, fact. All the while the real record of the call was buried on a secret server that none of us has yet heard.
it’s truly a sad state of affairs.
If an anonymous tipster calls a police hotline and implicates someone who committed a serious crime, that usually will launch an investigation. If during said investigation, the police find overwhelming evidence and several witnesses that corroborate the original tipster, does the identity of the original tipster really matter? No.
The call was recorded, right? Do you think at some point congress can get the recording to see if Trump's references to getting "Biden tapes" was deleted and replaced with ellipses, as Vindman claims?
President Trump has committed no crime, will not be removed, and will be re-elected.
This is a partisan hack job/coup attempt.
