    Thanks, good article. I always classified most as evacuations vs s swift water rescue, etc. zi always liked clean after action reports and data to give honest evaluation of resource needs and performance. Getting an injured or hypothermic child to safety is truly lifesaving rescue vs .

    Im old and grumpy and look at things differently.

    All due respect, but these are the same people who said nothing sensitive was shared in that Signal chat, damn near forcing the journalist to publicize them because water ain't wet if this administration don't say it is.

    Also, she did not deny the policy that she has to sign off on the above 100k contracts. And she says "Everyone was there, the calls were answered" despite their being clear evidence to the contrary (the contracts DID expire and in a window where it would have been impossible for her to have time to restart them before this disaster took place on a national holiday no less).

    All she would attest to was the following: "Within just an hour or two after the flooding, we had resources from the Department of Homeland Security there."

    "Noem issued a memo on June 11 that called for U.S. Department of Homeland Security agencies, including FEMA, to submit for her review any contract for more than $100,000.

    On July 5, as floodwaters were starting to recede, FEMA received 3,027 calls from disaster survivors and answered 3,018, or roughly 99.7 percent, the documents show. Contractors with four call center companies answered the vast majority of the calls.

    That evening, however, Ms. Noem did not renew the contracts with the four companies and hundreds of contractors were fired, according to the documents and the person briefed on the matter.

    The next day, July 6, FEMA received 2,363 calls and answered 846, or roughly 35.8 percent, according to the documents. And on Monday, July 7, the agency fielded 16,419 calls and answered 2,613, or around 15.9 percent, the documents show.

    The people in this administration say ANYTHING and you take it as fact. Then when shown facts they state facts are fake news. It's long past ridiculous. These folks constantly put innocent people in a scenario to FAFO and their followers just keep lining up for it.

    She tells a lot of lies here. Just like Donald Trump and most of the both Trump Administrations.

    You can write me off as a "lefty" or poster you choose not to value, but inside you know it's true.

    The questions are;
    a) What did Trump voters think was going to happen with a redux of an Administration that lies so much*? Good things?
    (* see covid-19, eating dogs, FEMA, and J6 for starters)

    b) Aren't you tired of the dishonesty yourself? Isn't it unproductive and contrary to your values?

    This admin told you they had the Epstein files literally on their desk and then told you the Epstein files didn't exist. You still believe things they tell you?

    I think you’re wrong. Fortunately, the Coast Guard didn’t need to wait for a sign off from Noem to go ahead and save people. FEMA did need to sign off.

    What am I wrong about:
    • The Coast Guard falls under DHS;
    • The Coast Guard responded on the morning of the fourth;
    • Fema falls under DHS?
    Those where the 3 facts I listed in my post.
