The UT Dollar Menu.
Kevin Steele's salary as acting head coach at Tennessee
Title Change alert
A McFlurry® of nothingness insues.
Because those clowns are trying to outdo themselves....and the clock is ticking and nothing is happening.
So Auburn is effectively picking up his check for Big Macs and McRibs.
450k/year for HBC......
They will have to pay the OC more than that... LMAO
I hear Joe Brady wants to be OC. He doesn’t have to choose from the dollar menu either. He can choose from the full menu
They can get away with that because Steele has his buyout from the Barners, which is most likely offset by earnings coaching elsewhere. Thus, earning more at UT doesn't help Steele, but definitely helps UT. Which is why he was hired.
Maybe, I don’t give UT enough credit. They hire a pretty good DC for next to nothing and screw Auburn hard at the same time. It’s a Beautiful Thing!!!
It would be more efficient just to pin this thread. Lord knows it's going to be relevant every 2-4 years.
Just when you think Tennessee has finally hit rock bottom, they manage to get worse.
Don't sell them short. They have had 4 coaching busts in a row. 5 if you count Schiano accepting the job.
And they are about to have bust No. 6 unless they hire Gus. It’s January 21st. This recruiting season is toast, and there’s no other top tier coaches available.
Maybe Gus will join them for $1M/year and they can screw Auburn even harder.
That would be 4 out of 5.
Is Hugh Freeze hirable at Tennessee? Greg Sankey weighs in
fwiw, Gus gets all of his Auburn $$$ regardless, mind boggling!
“Malzahn's buyout following the conclusion of this season was $21.45 million. Half of that total, or $10.275 million, is due within 30 days of termination, per the terms of his contract. The other half of the balance will paid in equal, annual installments of approximately $2.68 million over the next four years.
Malzahn is under no requirement to mitigate those payments, and the university has no right to offset those payments regardless of whether Malzahn accepts a new job elsewhere or not, meaning he is owed every penny of that money. Auburn said in its statement that Malzahn will be paid the remainder of his contract.”
you are correct sir
Few things are a bigger pain in the butt than a head coaching search. I've always hated them.
