My goodness, please don't let us face a strike zone this generous. Sheesh

    LSU won 6-3.

Vols face Stanford in elimination game.

The guy was good but the stroke zone was Jack Lieter huge and inconsistent

  6. If it comes to it hope Skenes has to go again on that side of the bracket. LSU's pitching depth is suspect.

Skenes looked like a 35 year old man pitching against 15 year olds.

Skenes is excellent no doubt but he got a lot of help from one of the most generous strike zones I've seen in some time.
Cannot cheer for Vols as long as that HC is there although he does seem to be mellowing some. Would like to face LSU in repeat of 2017 Final.
BTW: some of the LSU guys look like they're pushing 30 yrs old.

PS: Speaking of poor umpiring: did anyone see that ball call in favor of Wake in the 8th inning that set up their winninng rally? Stanford pitcher threw a gem of a change up when Wilken (Wake hitter) was sitting dead red and it dropped perfectly into strike zone and was called a ball... Would have been two outs and runner on 1st. That walk rather than a K set up the winning rally in the 8th. One bad pitch call is all it takes.

I think that plan could change if he stays in the majors for an extended duration of time.
