Gamble has proved he has hands, strength and can motor. If Pitts comes back, start Gamble at TE, Pitts flanker HB, Shorter at wide receiver. This would be a murderous line-up! He is a man among boys!

Gamble has indeed stepped up. No KP but he has acquitted himself well.

Our WRs and TEs have stepped up big time. Grimes and Shorter as well as our TEs have done great.

It is so important for him to step up obviously with KP out, no one is going to prove to be the mismatch KP is presently but the receivers are all doing a good job considering they are probably facing more coverage with no double team on the TE!

Grimes, Pitts, Gamble, Shorter, and Toney in that bunch set would be almost unfair

This scenario will never happen. Pitts is gone and he should be. Agree on Gamble. His hands and his game awareness have improved big time.

As long as he's covered by Maytag we have a shot.

Z has also been good, agreed.

What this prolly shows more than anything is this O is TE friendly.

That's no shade to the players. A true stud like KP can make that role a Heisman discussion.

He was noted from practices(?) a season ago to be a guy that could make some things happen. Not surprised.

Pleasant surprise right? I guess with the depth some of us are wondering why we have two slots taken in this class at TE. Well one is a legacy and well deserved. Have to trust the staff on this one.

Lol, makes more sense. I hope we haven’t seen the last of Pitts this year. Guy was dominating and our chances are better with him against Bama than without him. Gamble and Zip are filling in nicely but they aren’t being double teamed.
