On the All America one there is only one. On the futures there is 3 I think including Keagen Rotchrock and Sam Roe

The Gator softball Twitter account has more than double the number of followers when compared to the Gator baseball Twitter account.

Now that the WS is over and everyone who wants to enter the portal has - when are we going to see maybe a hitter and a pitcher transfer in.

I see that Oklahoma has already added both to their WS winning team.

    What are we waiting for?

Has anyone seen which, if any, of our softball players are "portalling" out?

4 listed are EC Taylor, Dani Farley, Hannah Sipos, and Savvanh Serrata. So none that we didn’t already know. I only see Skylar as incoming. Hope we bust one soon.

Those 4 girls have been gone from the team for over a year. Taylor played for Pitt this year, Serrata is a star for The College of Central Florida in Ocala and according to Steve Russell, Sipos and Farley are still enrolled at UF, just not playing softball.

I've been trying to find a softball transfer portal list, but have had no luck. I did find this on a softball message board--

New and Improved 2021 Transfer List

I've read this board in the past and the posters have been fairly accurate, but as you well know message boards can be very iffy on accurate information.

According to this list, right now we have no one transferring out. So maybe we won't get anyone coming in. But it's still early, so who knows?

My mistake. You are right. I was thinking of a girl named Ordalys Cordova who transferred to Ocala and is a star there.

As I said, none that we didn’t already know of. Those 4 are still listed on the newest Softball America list.

Ally Shipman is going to Bama. Big pickup for them after graduating Hemphill.

Notice that OU has 8 players in the portal? Gasso retooling her roster via the portal to win it all again this year.

The new wave of softball? & will Coach Walton do the same or will we be left behind?

Coach Walton has been very good with the portal so far. If he feels the need to get somebody I’m sure he will. The other side of the portal is you have to be careful with bringing people into the program as far as team chemistry and all of that. If we get another solid hitter that can play 1b, OF, or DP then great, but honestly I think we are fine if we don’t get a big name transfer this year.

Lindamann, Echols 2 of our best 3 hitters from the portal. And would have been 3 of 4 if our SS got cleared. I'd say Walton gets the new wave

Also, Jade Caraway did well from the portal. She wasn’t necessarily outstanding, but she filled a needed gap and could provide a spark in the lineup at times.

Don't forget the first major transfer that I remember - Stephanie Toft. Came from Northern Illinois, played 3rd and helped us go 58-9 in 2013, then win our first national title in 2014, hitting .356 with 65 RBI. Great pick up and tremendous player.

I didn’t realize she was a transfer, and a great one at that.

I think he has done well in the portal as well but it has the appearance that OU and Bama to some extent with the Shipmann signing are willing to do whatever it takes to win.

OU needs pitching and hitting - they go out and pick up pretty much the best available this year and jettison a few that did not work out - reminds me of Bama in football.
Bama needs a hitting catcher and they pick up the best catcher available this year.

We need pitching and hitting and we've picked up neither - unless Coach Walton thinks Skylar will fill the hitting need.

Like I asked earlier on another thread - Who is the first one we turn to when we need a pinch hitter?

We don't have anyone that I can think of on the bench that can come in and get a timely hit - unless it's a timely hit by pitch.
