I'm not disagreeing - you have a good point.

    But.

Doesn't mean they can't be beat as we saw two nights ago.

It's like those complaining about the dumb shoe throw stunt by Marco Wilson which (theoretically) cost us the LSU football game.

You know what cost us the game? It was US NOT performing as well as we SHOULD have the ENTIRE game - not just that series.

The problem with stuff like this is it's a distraction from what's really going on.

Performance and execution related stuff. Etc.

In a perfect world we ABSOLUTELY CRUSH the opposition and take the fans out of the equation entirely.

all true, but how much do you think having 25000 screaming for you and against your opponent on what is supposed to be a neutral field matters?

Having the softball championship in OKC is obviously a huge advantage for the Sooners, and is why I almost always root against them, but I give them credit for having a great program that can take advantage of the home field.

Baseball has been in Omaha forever, yet the Nebraska Cornhuskers rarely make it to Omaha and have never won it. Similarly, the SEC baseball tourney is always in Hoover, Alabama yet neither Bama nor Auburn have made the finals much less win the tourney in almost forever.

I promise you - they won't be screaming much when they are down 12-0!

True, but if you have a competitive team would you prefer to play 20 miles from your campus or 20 miles from your opponents campus. Home teams have an advantage and since its the ultimate and final series of the year what would be fair?

All I know is LSU had a ridiculous amount of fans in Omaha; I wouldn't have changed that for anything...it played out perfectly

I've never seen 20,000 people clear out of a stadium so quickly.

All we need is an ace pitcher, ace reliever, and at least five consistent hitters. That means better recruiting and better player development especially in the area of hitting the ball. We do miss our old pitching coach who now coaches for Ok.

KB Sides from Bama is in the portal. Maybe she follows Wallace? Would be a good outfield addition for Fl and she has speed which we need. Power also.

I would take KB in a second. Good speed, better bat than 80% of our players and a very good defensive player. Of course, we may not have the partial scholly for her.

    KSP Stadium
Since you can't pay the players (at least not directly), NCAA is all about a facilities arms race. Other teams could complain that we have an unfair advantage since KSP is so nice, we have an indoor softball facility, outdoor covered bullpen, and luxo locker room -- meaning players want to come to UF. Have you seen some of the sh*thole facilities some softball teams have?

Nothing prevented us from increasing KSP to 20,000 capacity (except good sense). If we'd done that, NCAA would probably rotate the WCWS.

I don't see anything unfair about it -- NCAA showcases the WCWS in the most appropriate stadium in all of softball. If Oklahoma only sat 2,800, I think you'd have a better point.

Sorry, don't think the NCAA is rotating either the softball or baseball championships anytime soon, no matter the facilities. If they somehow did, it wouldn't be coming to UF.

The CWS has been in Omaha since 1950 and the WCWS is where the USA Softball Hall of Fame is located and has been played there 1960-1981 and then from 1990 to the present except for 1996. They aren't going to rotate where these events are held because there's too much commitment and $$$ tied up in having the annual events in these 2 venues.

The current contracts run through 2035 at both locations. The only thing that would change it is some political decision by a state legislature. Then the NCAA might consider moving a tourney.
