Cheese had 10 points and 10 assists for the Rockets last night in an NBA summer league game.

Heat guard Herro is playing very well. Interesting that the Heat have not signed, as they are potentially including him in a Russell Westbrook trade. You can’t trade a player for 30 days after signing a contract, so strategic he was not signed.

Hope Cheese makes the Rockets roster!!!

I'm surprised he's playing in summer league without a contract

My assumption is he would be due his slotted rookie deal should he get hurt. No way the NBAPA would allow this without a parachute.

He got an insurance policy to protect himself in case of serious injury.

Looks like Heat are killing the deal as they do not want to include either Adebayo and/or Herro in any trade.

    I agree.

Cheese needed a game like that after struggling offensively the first two summer games (4-13, 2-8 from three). Hopefully he finds a place in the league to stick this season.

Followed it up with another solid game. 12 points on 5 shots (2-3 3pt) and 5 assists

Cheese has an excellent chance to be on Houston’s active roster, although there might not be much available playing time in that backcourt.

While I will root for Cheese to be successful at Houston I don't envy him. Are there two bigger prima donnas in the NBA than Westbrook and Hardin?

I imagine being deep on the bench doesn't command much respect from those two and in my strong opinion is the reason the Houston experiment with those two will be a disaster.

Imagine the locker room after a little adversity.
    Defense? LOL
I would not bet on Houston doing much going forward.

Unfortunately, it does seem that Cheese is on the wrong team.

I never got the vibe Harden was a primadonna. Russ for sure. Harden just plays in a system and for a coach that wants him to dominate the ball.

I'd say Harden is more of a prima donna with his ticky-tack fouls and flailing arms, but neither is really soft. Westbrook is the best rebounder at his position, led the league in assists. If anything he's bull-headed, but definitely not soft. In fact he's just the opposite. If you call him a prima donna you'd have to call guys like Jordan one too ;)

15 points and 8 assists for Cheese last night. 3 for 7 from the 3-point line.

3 for 7 is good. Cheese needs a consistent 3-point shot. Who are Houston's back up guards?

I am pretty sure that Cheese shot 50% from the 3/point line in the 2nd half of last season’s G League.
