Normally, I would agree, but even the Playoff committee cannot put Notre Dame in over Cincy with the head-to-head loss and Cincy being undefeated. It won't be Notre Dame.

If Bama beats GA, would ga still get in to playoffs?

They shouldn’t, but they might. What that would do, though, is ensure that that the dwags don’t get an easy play-in game against Cincinnati. So that’s something.

Splitting hairs, but for what it’s worth Bennett isn’t technically a walk on QB. He was originally, but then he left to go to Juco and then came back after signing a LOI for a full scholarship.

Also, is it really overachieving if he does it all season? I think at this point it’s safe to say that he’s pretty good.

I’d rather mop the floor at a peep show than concede anything to that second rate school with the disgusting red pants. The ‘06 Ohio State Team was supposed to be all world…. That lasted into the second play of the National Championship Game.

May they be cursed for another 41 years.

Yes. The question is "If Georgia beats Bama in a close game, will Bama still get in?" If Cincy beats 11-1 Houston in their conference title game, I think they get in. That's not a given, as Houston is very good. Notre Dame should NOT get in, IMO. They don't play that extra conference title game and their schedule this year is pathetic. Their best win is over 8-4 Wisconsin and they lost to a non-P5 team. OK State might sneak in if they beat a Top 10 Baylor team for a 2nd time. And what if Iowa upsets Michigan?

Don’t underestimate Cincy. 1or 2 game run is doable and Fickell can coach!!!

    Best case scenario for us:

    (1) Bama wins
    (2) Michigan wins
    (3) Cincinnati wins
    (4) Oklahoma State wins

I think we need all those to be true for uga to be left out of the playoffs. If uga loses but one of 2-3 falter, I think uga sneaks in over a one loss ND.

No way a 2 loss Bama or Ohio State is in over an undefeated cincy. Now, If uga loses to Bama in a close game and Oklahoma state wins out I might see cincy getting pushed out and the playoffs being

    Bama, Michigan, Oklahoma state, Georgia

but if jawga wins, cincy is in

Yes, unless Bama beats them in a blowout, extremely unlikely.

    Might be harder this year.
UGA beats Bama they are OUT with two loses. OSU is out already. As is OK

Ok State may get in and UM and UGa
that leaves ND, Cincy with two loses and Cindy beat ND head to head hard sell taking ND over Cincy there.

I actually think Michigan might be a better matchup than OSU against UGA. Michigan has a really good defense that could limit that UGA offense whereas OSU's defense would have let them run up and down the field. You would have had to pray that their offense could keep up against the UGA defense which would have been tough sledding. You're better off having a low scoring slugfest than a potential shootout when one team has an elite defense.

I'll also never take Saban lightly but yesterday's game was ugly. I wouldn't bet against Saban but I'm also not confident in this Bama team.

Yup. I’m on the UMich bandwagon. Hurts OSU, we don’t recruit head to head with them that much, and it ain’t Ga or Bama.

    Win. Win. Win. Win.

Since a 2-loss team has never (yet) made the play-offs, I'm happy The Gumps, with 1-loss, are not only playing for the SECCG but a play-off spot while the LegHumpers think they've got a spot already sewed up. That, plus their already lesser offense, could make for a much different game than many expect in the SECCG.

You're dreaming. A one loss SEC team that spent much of the year at #1 will not miss the playoffs.

True. Even Superman had his kryptonite. Not sure what Georgia's is.

if you watched all the games yesterday and came away with Georgia having a cakewalk then you weren't watching. The teams that won yesterday were impressive and those that make it through Championship Saturday and in the top 4 will be fun to watch
